Heck, I scored four more vintage Japanese TMNT books a couple of weeks ago. Just think how much more material we'll have once those items arrive in the mail!

Can't wait to see them, man! (Assuming you're gonna share that is!)

Believe it or not, today I received up some Japanese books of my own!

The format of these books make them a little difficult to scan in their entirety, but I will be sharing some neat little bits in the near future!

Oh, and I also picked up both manga adaptations of the 3rd movie (which means DrSpengler and Cryomancer will have some more email from me)!

EDIT:
Uploaded the first bit here:

I'll try. They're pretty stiff books, so might be little tough to scan

Here's the cover to the Dengeki adaptation of the 3rd movie.

Is Casey Jones doing some kind of Friday the 13th homage? Or maybe even Splatterhouse?

What numbers are on your books? I couldn't figure out if the #45 on mine was a reference to the number in a series or a description of the number of pages (which was actually 45).

my books are the exact same as the ones u put a picture up of, so got #45 on mine as well. my Manga dude/friend didn't really say if it's part of a series or a description of the number of pages, so maybe he didn't know for sure.

How much did these cost you and where'd you get them? Off ebay or order them online from some place in Japan?

i'm not at liberty to say how much i've paid for my TMNT Manga collection as i feel it's nobody's business, sorry

as for where i got them, i originally posted a "Want It Now" advertisement to Ebay in 2010, and a fellow Ebayer from Japan responded and he's been helping me aquire everything i have since then! and i love everything i have! i'm only two Shogakukan Pic Books away from having what i believe to be all TMNT related Manga

I guess I'm not looking for a total figure, I'm more talking how much can I realistically expect to shell out on average for a single issue in decent shape. While I understand not wanting to say what you spent I'm just asking for an olive branch from a fellow Dromer because I don't want to pay 500% of the value of something because I'm going in blind.

The average issue of Dengeki Comics (the 15-volume set that adapts TV episodes from the Fred Wolf cartoon), probably sells for anywhere from $7-20 USD. In contrast, Dengeki's "Mutant Turtles Gaiden" volume and the 3-volume "Super Turtles" issues generally sell for between $20-30 (or higher) USD. That's just been my observation from the times they've shown up on ebay, or the times when I've done the price conversions from Japanese Yen on Amazon Japan listings. Outside of those specific issues I mentioned, I don't have good estimates on value.

Acquiring them stateside comes down to being lucky enough to finding the right item at the right time from a seller (often Japanese) who is willing to ship it internationally.

It's really hard to say anything involving these manga books are overpriced since they are hard to come by for us stateside citizens.

That said, I think they're overpriced! (Especially when you factor in the $35 shipping charge).

But everybody has a right to make a buck and somebody probably is willing to pay that much for them.

Dengeki edition. I was thinking about heading back to Book Off sometime soon to see if they have anymore TMNT manga. Having just one feels lame
