That part of the article was a huge buzz kill for me. The rest is awesome though.

$8-9 is the basic Nick line (I'm guessing 5" as the TMNT are 4.25-4.75")
$15-20 is both Nick Deluxe (first set is the talking figures) AND the 6" Classics line.

$15-20 is about right really. DCUC is about $16-20 at retail now depending on where you get them, MOTUC is was $20 but went up to $22 at the start of this year and DCUC will be the same when the online sales start in a few months.

Thanks Uki, I might have to take you up on that! Waiting with baited breath to hear Nick's plans for a UK launch...

Thanks. MOTUC has some strange measure of "success", as they basically don't want to have stuff for sale on their site! It has to sell out in an hour or two or they think it failed/they're holding too much stock. They're cutting down "day of" figures this year and saying that next year they will cut down even more. Basically they want the line to be subscription only so they know for sure how much to make and don't have any risk of unsold inventory.

Plus if I remember right the possible Castle Grayskull they were talking about (before subscription numbers went down) was going to be like $300+ due to the high tooling costs, large size, limited production run, etc. So if we think the Nick Sewer Lair is expensive, anything like that for the Classics is going to be at least $150-200 due to large size/smaller production run.

Exactly. (I'm a MOTUC subscriber-also Uki on Matty's site and at He-Man.org!)

I can hear the answer to a Classics Lair already: "Maybe in a movie year..."

I'm a cherry picker (can't afford the sub and not enough room even if I could). Will be braving the WSOD this month for Sorceress and then, if budget allows, having a look at ebay prices for Shadow Weaver. Wish me luck

And hey, at least we have a good idea of a movie year for TMNT (2014 according to that article) so you never know...

As much as I used to love MOTU as a kid, I won't touch MOTUC with a ten foot pole due to all the horror stories I've heard. They're awesome figures but it isn't worth the hassle.

When it comes right down to it though I love TMNT way more than MOTU, so the TMNT line would be the main priority even if I did collect MOTU.

Right? I can't wait! I'm really excited that our first baby is being born this year (March 23!)-right at the cusp of a new era of TMNT and during the 30th Anniversary for MOTU!

(For the record, I've had zero issues with the MOTUC subs; the horror stories are not the norm-just that of a very vocal minority who've had bad luck. But back to the turtles!!!)

Not a fan of that figure as it's too small anyway I meant a cameo on the show not as a figure.

After seeing these newest photos, I have a bit more hope for the really good looking new turtles. As far as I can tell, the "crappier" versions, do not appear to have double jointed knees...

I've heard no, because Stan mostly did it as a favor to Peter...but...he is gonna do something for IDW (not sure what) so I guess it's still a possibility.

That's kinda what I was figuring, but maybe if us "Sewer-Heads" rally for Stan's rabbit, we can make it happen...in IDW and on Nick. You figure, it's exposure that Usagi doesn't have at the moment, TV is.

Shoot, I'd love an Usagi toon!

(I've never met Stan-or Peter-but I did speak for awhile with Stan's wife and daughter at SDCC 2008, and they are lovely people!)

To quote Raph from movie 1 concerning "Sewer Heads" - "Where do they come up with this stuff?"

Seriously, and I still can't get over the nostalgia comment. Well, I can...it's just a dumb thing to say.

Nice to hear Rat King and Leatherhead will be showing up early. Its not exactly surprising given they're like the main secondary villains after Shredder/Krang, etc.

I get the feeling Leatherhead is going to be a villain again, which is fine with me.
