Can you see some differences between male and female writing in 1987 TMNT? Which episodes have female writers, how do they differ from male?

as to this topic, I don't know if Irma had more depth than April but at times it seemed Irma had more common sense and awareness of dangerous situations than April did.

Of course, April was a reporter who risked her life several times just to get a good story. Irma was just a secretary girl (and sometimes held the camera), but far more brave than Vernon (Vernon was both reporter and cameraman).

If Irma has her own season, it's definately sason 3, where her personality peaks. Season 3 first continues the darker storyarc with "Beneath These Streets" (where Shredder seriously hurts Splinter) and "Turtles on Trial" (I like it where Krang acts really bad-ass inside that robot), then flips over to comedic "Attack of the 50-Foot Irma".
