The Turtles as aliens?! You've gotta be kidding me!

At least the Transformers mythos were done right even though they were still poorly executed. I can accept the ooze that mutated the Turtles to be alien in origin but the Turtles themselves? That's ain't gonna fly and if that's the case I'm gonna go on a Raph rage.

I think the whole TMNT alien origin is being misinterpreted all over the net. In the original comics, The chemical that mutated the turtles to become humanoid was by a company called T.C.R.I. It was secretly run by an alien race called the Utrom, Which is Krang's race.

Krang has never been an Utrom in any incarnation or universe of TMNT. It is possible, however, that he might turn out to be an Utrom in the IDW comics but that remains to be seen.

Huh, i thought he would be as confused as we are. I am still looking forward to the film, but this alien thing is still a bit strange. It feels like Superman's origin. As for Laird's comment, well, he has a clear penchant for sci-fi -- his blog is fun for his Star Trek TOS nerd love -- so, apparently, such a premise didn't "make him puke." Either that, or maybe he's just becoming more mellow. No doubt, he'll add an extenstive thought or two when we know more details. Can't wait.

Interesting how the fandom is going "Do Not Want," but he somewhat isn't. How about that?

Hmmm... could it be that TMNT are ALIENS??? Maybe because they are foreign to humans, or maybe even STRANGE? Haven't you ever heard someone say something like "I just can't understand this, calculus is just so alien to me..."

Alien is a noun and an adjective. It also has different synonyms... English is a powerful language, some use it differently than others...

Would you believe that back in the day people used the world "chair" instead of "cool"... For example they would say "that movie was so freaking chair!" Do they mean that it was a device used to sit, no it means that it was cool, awesome, bodacious, radical, etc, etc, yadda, yadda, bing, bang, yacky, yack, don't talk back...
