I honestly doubt they are taking it too much to heart. If the film makes no money they might, but overall it's the internet and people complain about everything. I am certain at this point Bay has given up caring about the number of individuals that make memes that wish him death daily.

interesting read

I know he's Michael Bay, but he makes a good point. Let's just chill out and see what happens.

Hard to argue with Michelangelo himself though (Robbie Rist)

Guys, the Christmas holiday is actually one of the best times to release a movie, especially a movie aimed at families. It’s a very desirable release window. A lot of films that open in December have exceptionally strong holds. If the film was opening in September or February, you’d have a point. December and Christmas is a very good time to release a family movie, though. Just wait and see.

The only valid point he makes is about us not having read the script... and then he proceeds to hide behind Kevin Eastman.

But I bet if they offered him a role he'd be right there ready to work.

Sad that one of the people actually involved has become a typical whining internet knob. Oh my childhood!

No holiday, weather, tragedy, or other occurance would prevent me from seeing a TMNT movie on opening day. I'd hike barefoot through glass.

I am glad he did it.

I think it would be funny if all the various TMNT VA's over the years spoke out about this. I wonder how Rob Paulsen feels

Robbie Rist, aka Cousin Oliver. I can't condone his tone, but I agree with him in that making the TMNT into aliens is bleh.

That's what I was thinking. I can't believe a professional would come out with the "raping of my childhood" hyperbole. I expect that from a die-hard, but not from a so-called-professional. Sounds really petty and sad. This whole thing can quickly get ridiculous, and it looks like its getting that way.

Michael Bay should use his letter as toilet paper and send it back to him.

I agree with Powder... But what if the theater was on fire?

Christmas day 2012 is a Tuesday. I've never seen a movie start on a Tuesday.

Michael Bay tells TMNT fans to Chill Out!

http://www.tmntlair.com/2012/03/20/m...-to-chill-out/

No, i won't chill out Mr Bay! Not until you reassure us that the origin of the tmnt is kept intact.

This statement is not helping at all. Fans are just going to get more mad and insult him more.

Oh please. Professionals who worked on TMNT projects before are pissed about this.

It says a lot.
