April's Artifact Song

Anyone know the song playing the background, in this episode when the guys and April are fashioning weapons and windsails.

The title seems to be "its a jungle out there".

I tried googling the lyrics. No luck.

Was is a pre-existing song which was sampled. or was it composed specifically for this episode.

Any info will be appreciated.

Thanks

I asked Dan Berger this some time ago and he said that "Midnight Run" from City AT War Part 1 and "Its A Jungle Out There" from April's Artifact were made in studio specifically for the show and was unaware of any download unless a fan stripped the track from a copy of the episode off the internet. To this day I have not seen it unfortunately.

Thanks.

Actually if one has a layered copy of the audio, one can probably try to separate the song and other background sounds.

Maybe the DVD or the blu-ray (if available) will have the sounds recorded in a layered fashion. It takes a lot of space. I doubt if the VCD will have it layered.

I was also trying to find the running free in NYC song. No luck there either.

It's a Jungle Out There

I'd been restraining myself from dropping this reference, but here it goes anyway:

I'm not sure which is worse, It's a Jungle Out There or Midnight Run.

I never understood why some of those second season episodes busted out the weird rock songs. They just came out of nowhere without explanation. The first time I watched "City at War" part 1, I almost wondered if I had tuned into the wrong show.

Just Weird! Who's idea were they?

Now that's a question to ask Peter Laird on his next "Ask P.L." forum!

Peter Laird skipped over most of seasons 1 and 2 when he started posting his episode review emails. So he may yet get around to sharing his thoughts when he's through with the FF and BttS notes.

Definitely Midnight Run.

Not that I like the City at War episodes, but that cheesy song totally clashes with the tone they're trying to set.

That one was actually on a 4KIDS compilation on Amazon and iTunes at one time. Don't think they're available anymore though.

Coming Out of Their Shells may get a lot of flack, but those songs were far better than the 2 songs that 4Kids inexplicably placed in season 2.

COOTS was meant to be cheesy and corny. The two songs that came out in season 2 were IMO unintentionally cheesy and corny.
