Looking at the Classic Collection turtles, I love them, but I'm honestly not sure where Playmates is getting the "34" points of articulation advertised on the packaging. Though the 32 poa I do see when looking at the figures is still REALLY impressive. Hopefully they're able to keep a similar range of articulation for future figures in this line.
While not quite as impressive as the CC turtles, the articulation on the new show's turtles is still great, imho. Though it seems other figures are suffering a bit in this department. Most notably the foot ninja figure, which looks to have rotational joints, rather than bends, for it's knees and elbows (same can be said for Splinter's elbows). The new mutants could have used some better articulation too. Making me wonder how Leatherhead is going to turn out...

That's how Playmates always operates, the Turtles have good to decent articulation and the secondary characters are lucky to have big 5 articulation.

Interesting; I'm counting 36 POA! The only way I can get it to 34 is by assuming a proper ball joint at the hips (which would only count as one -- as opposed to a swivel hinge, like the shoulders, which would count as two).

I can just picture myself snatching up every figure in the classic series.
Then sitting on the floor and fooling around with my old primary school/high school friend, the only one who is still into toys and stuff. Ahh, two 25 year old guys playing turtles. Good times. |

Ladies & Mutants we have a release date!
I thought I'd take it upon myself to find out when the Classics line is coming out. It's good to know they will be sold on their website as well since that opens up so many possibilities for a line like this! Quote:

The release date is old news, but the bit about them being sold on their website sounds new to me. Not really surprising, but it's nice to know. Though I hope it doesn't evolve into a MattyCollector sort of thing...

In the webshop there is already a Collectors category set up.
I hope they will ship internationally. (And I hope it will be dirt cheap |

Getting the figures right from the factory in collectors condition sounds pretty ideal to me. Good going, Playmates. <3

That sounds like a good thing, considering there's also international demand on those classic figures. I'm quite certain the regular figures from the show will get released even in here in time, so I can wait for those and order classics from playmates.

Thats a good question. But I don't really think it will be much lower than retail, which is said to be between 15-20. I ordered a case of the classics, from bbts. And after shipping it only came out to $15 and change per turtle.

With the exception of TRU, I don't expect that they'll retail for any more than fifteen bucks (their srp is $14.99).

Those are been marked down. Heck I saw Tigra for $5 at my local Walmart.
And aren't the classics the ones that are $15? You know...the 6 inch ones.

Yeah I dont really like the classic style figs for Thundercats. But the 6 inch new series ones are really nice! The classic Lion-O's sword was extremely floppy.
