Wreck It Ralph

A disney movie about a game character who want to be a good guy

*CyberCubed* · 06-06-2012, 02:15 PM

Bowser, Eggman, and other videogame bad guys make cameos.

*Slap-Happy* · 06-06-2012, 08:40 PM

Looks pretty good. Cool seeing all of those game villains in there.

*zkarlette* · 06-07-2012, 12:11 AM

I really like the idea, I hope the movie is good!

*Cure* · 06-12-2012, 10:54 AM

You can check out the game here.

Freeman · 06-12-2012, 07:59 PM

We just saw the trailer here in Spain, and the guy who puts his voice to he hero of Ralph's game is the same playing Ash from Pokemon XD

Oh, and the films looks AMAZING, I'm already trying to attract friends to go to the premiere

I love John C. Riley's "I'M GONNA WRECK IT!" voice clip.

Hmm... how exactly did this game take the world by storm back in 1982? It's too easy to earn extra lives, and there doesn't seem to be a way to rack up oodles of points like any self-respecting arcade game would!

Dadgum Tobikomi Co... they've produced yet another game that eats my quarters but doesn't leave me feeling satisfied!

So Ralph is Donkey Kong who started as Mario's anatagonist and became a hero not long after, huh? Interesting! I wonder how Dsiney got the copyright to all these game boss characters. So who wants to give a list of who's who? I only know the obivous Boswer and Dr. Robotnik and Pac-Man ghost.

Yeah, it's pretty incredible, and I imagine it's a mutual perk for all parties involved.

Oddly, early footage of the movie had Dr. Wily in the room with the other villains. However, he has now been replaced by Mortal Kombat's Human Smoke (or at least a reasonable facsimile). Seems like if they were gonna use a MK "villain", they could have gone with the more recognizable Sub-Zero, Shang Tsung, Goro, or Shao Kahn.

Hopefully this isn't yet another twist in Capcom's ongoing love-hate relationship with the Mega Man franchise.

Indeed, especially since Zangief and M.Bison are there.

Yeah, and Zangief isn't even a "bad guy" either!

So... apparently the original TMNT Arcade gets a shout-out (of sorts) in the movie.

EDIT: Link is dead now. Sorry!

Looks like they went to the trouble to create all-new side art but they blurred out the name (perhaps out of legal concerns). Weird.

I can't wait for this movie!

*zkarlette* · 10-27-2012, 11:35 PM

Saw a screening of this movie today, it was really fun and I loved seeing all the cameos.

I'm really looking forward to this movie, mainly for the references.

*The Stryker* · 10-28-2012, 11:38 AM

So you're going to complain when those other characters are only in the movie for a minute ot two? Great!

Hmmm nope, don't plan to do that. I pretty much knew that they are only going to appear for like 5 seconds a piece. It's just fun to spot them out.

Nice assumption though.

I think the concept of the movie is pretty interesting. I just hope its executed well.

-->> The brief moment ( more like second ) the cabinet is onscreen is an instant nerdgasm. I went to see it without knowledge of this thread or a real good look at the trailer beforehand so-. I saw this with my sis n' 16 y.o. niece. As soon as it was on screen, me n' her looked at each other a second n' laughed so hard.
