Be careful when ordering from TRU.com if you are a MOC collector. They have been known to ship action figures in just a bubble mailer. I have had to return dozens of figures (an annoying process) before I eventually just stopped.

I am sure these will be very plentiful for a while in actual stores...if you can wait a week or so

That's what I was banking on. What, you got damaged products or just messed up packaging?

Well, it IS free shipping if you plan on buying at least $75 worth. And if the basic figures were available for pre-order, I'd probably do it.

Well, not 'new', I guess it's just one of those things that waiver in popularity for a long time, then makes a comeback (like MC Hammer pants, which I'll never understand).

Yeah, but I only intend to get the Turtles and maybe the Shredder, at first. I probably wouldn't hit the seventy-five dollar range, especially since the Turtles with shipping is less than that. Seems like an ironic thing to do to avoid shipping charges.

What mm were each of the joints you used? Also, what kind of glue did you use? I tried two part loctite, but it didn't seem to bound well to the softer plastic (which is actually good, cause I can try again without wasting a figure!).

Please do not take my personal tastes as an insult. You did a very awesome job.

Well, you have just made me cry. I will never post here again. Fellow Turtle fans are mean.

The joints are just in there and will be covered by new sculpting and or panels. I used 4mm and 6mm joints and regular model glue with an activator. Be sure you clean the spots with non-acetone nail polish remover before glueing.

And at $9 a figure these are great to practice on.

I really don't get the gripe people are giving over the tooling of these figures. They are made for kids, I find it hard to believe that kids are going to look at Mikey's chains and say "I wish they would have painted the chains". This is not mattycollector, these toys are not marketed towards adults. The only line that is being marketed for us is the classics line....and lo and behold the chains on Mikey's nun chucks are painted.

I'm sorry but I had no idea what tooling on an action figure meant when I was 8-10 years old. I find it hard to believe that kids these days buy a toy bc of "tooling"....I dunno but that's my opinion

I know my little nephew loves being able to move his action figures around. He sets them up on shelves when not playing. It could be because he has seen me do it. Point being is saying "It's for kids" is a lame excuse not to do something.
