Did anyone else order the basic figures when they first went on pre-sale on ToyWiz.com? I ordered Michelangelo and Donatello, trying to appease my impatience, so I could just say I got buying the figures out of my system.
Well, I forgot to cancel the order (because their prices are just horrible), buuuut I forgot. I'm kind of glad I did now. Why? Because when I got my basic Don and Mike in the mail today, guess what was actually in the box? A CLASSIC COLLECTION Donatello and Michelangelo!!!! So I paid about $35 for both, which is about the price you would pay at a store or online. So it all worked out. I guess some order picker at the warehouse didn't know what they were doing, and packed the wrong thing. Problem is, I already have an open Classic Don, and this one isn't as mint as I would want a NM/M card to be, so I want to sell it. I'll put it up in my 'For Sale' thread soon, but for right now, I'll just let whoever wants it here, have it, at reasonable cost. The deal would probably best be suited for the international members, but anyone's welcome to it. Selling for $15 plus shipping. |

Sell it to me!
I'd love a Classic Donny to open and display. Are his eyes all wonky too? Sold already! Yeesh, it's like I'm on storage wars.

It's good to see them up on Walmart. I may have to pick up the other two from there. Or another set of four, plus two more.

New splinter is growing on me. I really want to know what is up with his staff. It looks really cool, but I kinda miss the sword-staff, you know?

Heads up. Toys R Us has the sound figures up except leo (they do have shredder though) and the Lair. Could be a good time to get with the 20% off.

Got the Lair. Was going to order the Powersound figures as well, but the shipping is jacked on those. It's like $14 something for one & $27 something for 2 of them. The Lair was only $12 something for shipping. Granted the first $20.00 of shipping is free if you spend $75.00, but that's way too much for shipping. I noticed the shipping on the Storage Shell figures went down a bunch from the day I pre-ordered them. Seems odd.

I hope Playmates Toys doesn't release a million different variants of the turtles in the future. It was Ok with the original line, since it was always a different sculpt, but the 2k3 and 2k7 turtle variants were pretty bad. If they do release variants, i'd like to see them do different head sculpts for the turtles, since the heads are interchangeable. By the way, i got the Donatello Figure from the Nick line, and it is really amazing. I can't wait to get the other three turtles.

ordered Dragon Chopper on amazon. I really want that foot soldier variant. I'll wait on the other vehicles, pretty sure I can get those on discount if I wait.
I *really* want the Sewer Lair, jealous of you guys! They really went all out on that set, you just don't see playsets like that anymore. It's something special. If I can find a way to get it under $100 and shipped I'll jump, but I have to wait until after I move at the end of this month... >.> |

The eBay sellers I purchased my 2 sets of wave 1 from have now raised their prices substantially! thankchristIorderedwhenIdid
Regardless, here's a list of what they currently have. (Keep in mind, this will only be helpful to non-US folks that need their figures a month or so early.) The prices/shipping are decent compared to a lot of other sellers that only allow for expensive options. Keep in mind, their set of four is now $10+ more than it was when I had ordered... but most of the other items are only slightly more expensive than they were.

I figured out why the Powersound figures cost so much to ship on TRU. They have them listed as 7.7 pounds each. I think it is supposed to be 0.7 pounds each. I sent them an email about it, I hope they fix it.

Yes. Not a TRUE variant, but he is a variant of sorts of the single-card foot soldier. Just with a cool removable dragon helmet and a different paint scheme. the sculpt itself looks the same.
