Doesn't seem that April has a mom. The ep description just says the turtles rescue April and her dad (who's a scientist).

Mona Lisa would probably be one of the last characters they would bring back, outside of this forum, she's very obscure.

We're far more likely to see Mondo Gecko or the Punk Frogs or Ray Fillet over her.

As I said,I want to see Mona Lisa updated.Not the same character that was shown in 1990.I wouldn't mind them changing her background.Still would like her previous form to be human and yes,I want her to be an ally not a bew member of the team.

NICK! THIS is your awnser on how to bring in a female turtle-esque character to fight beside the boys WITHOUT angering a large portion of the fanbase or making in feel cheap! As I stated on another thread, Mona Lisa has a HUGE fanbase online, and would be a PERFECT addition to the Nick TMNT show!

No thanks. Although I thought Mona Lisa was a decent character in the OT, I just don't want to see her in this show. And the TMNT having girlfriends is just

I'd be alright with her coming back if they actually do anything of interest with her.

Like she could a thief for hire or something along those lines, get in both the TMNT and Foot's way depending on what she's doing in a particular episode, etc. Bring back the Lupin influence and have her help out the TMNT with stuff only to rip them off at the end, haha.

I think some fans overreact to the "relationships" concept. I don't think it needs to be overdone in any of the series, but I think it has its place if done well, same as anything else. Love and relationships are a part of life, seems silly not to "go there" with TMNT just because "They're the last/only ones of their species". Clark Kent/Lois Lane, Starfire/Dick Grayson, etc., although in those cases they were dealing with aliens and not mutants per se', but I think that's just splitting hairs. Beyond that, the TMNT are "teenagers", and teenagers are easily attracted to the opposite sex in general. I just think it hasn't always been done well and it sours folks on the entire concept. I thought the Raphael/Ninjara pairing was done well.

I always wanted to see more Mona Lisa, as her character seemed to have more repeat potential than some other recurring characters, but it didn't happen. Not sure if I'd want to see a new version in the new show "just because", but if they were going to go more into her character, add some depth, and have it have a point, I say it's fine.

I feel that many want her back since some feel that there are not enough notable female characters in the franchise; basically April and Karai with a small handful of secondary characters who were mostly one shots. I'd simply change her origin to being mutated by ooze which was part of the same canister as the one that the Turtles got mutated from, and make her appear about once a season based upon demand. If she is well-liked unlike Venus, why not give her another shot.

As much as I'd like Mona to return, her original purpose, which was to have a female character that could fight along with the Turtles, has been taken over by Teen April. Also, why is almost everyone screaming "EW NO SHIPPING TURTLES!"? Can't a female character exist in a TV show without her becoming a love interest?

Still, I wouldn't mind seeing what the writers could do with her. She was the only "Mutant Ally" that I ever cared about.
