How old were you when you saw Ninja Turtles the movie?

~~JakeSully~~ · 08-29-2012, 10:55 PM

8 here when i saw it 4 times in theaters and loved it as i was waiting for the movie since it was announced in late 1988 in Starlog magazine and been waiting until in late 89 they showed a still picture of Leonardo as i gasp then it said coming March 1990 as i couldn't wait.

*zkarlette* · 08-29-2012, 10:58 PM

9 or 10 I'm really not sure...

*Raph's Girl* · 08-29-2012, 11:48 PM

I was 10...

*Powder* · 08-30-2012, 12:14 AM

I took my first steps as an infant just so that I could approach the TV, which had a VHS of the film playing on it. True story. The rest is history.

*Eiko* · 08-30-2012, 06:22 AM

I was 10 such a long time ago.

Scud · 08-30-2012, 07:53 AM

I was 11. Good times!

*MikeandRaph87* · 08-30-2012, 07:58 AM

It came out when I was just three years old.

*pannoni1* · 08-30-2012, 08:07 AM

I was 5, and got it in on VHS for Christmas 1990. It did frighten me a little bit and forced me to gravitate back to the cartoon.

*Slade* · 08-30-2012, 08:12 AM

I was 2 when it came out. I saw it when I was 5. So 93

FoxZerro · 08-30-2012, 08:31 AM

I had to have been four or five. I remember owning the VHS and watching it all the time. I loved it. I wasn't even aware of the second one until I had my Adenoids removed when I was six and my friend lent it to me to watch while I recovered. I still preferred the first. I think my favorite memory though was when I was seven and my mom took me out of school early to see the third movie. We had a guy from Nasa there talking to us and then I was called out for an emergency. I was all nervous then my mom was all its fine we're seeing Ninja Turtles 3

*Jephael* · 08-30-2012, 09:09 AM

I was an impressionable 9 year-old boy! Unfortunately the first time I saw the film I fell asleep during the big fight scene with Shredder. My cousin woke me up just in time to see the part where Shredder got crushed by the garbage truck.

Bob · 08-30-2012, 09:26 AM

The first one? I was five. I actually do remember going to watch it very well. I also remember being very disappointed that neither Krang, Bebop or Rocksteady were anywhere to be seen. But yeah, even at five, I do remember a feeling of profound disappointment. Of course, as I've gotten older, I've grown to love it. It really is an excellent film.

*gobo* · 08-30-2012, 10:23 AM

10. I was mostly a fan of the Archie comic at that point.

Victorsaurus · 08-30-2012, 10:36 AM

I was like 4-5 years old when I saw it.

hitmonkey · 08-30-2012, 11:18 AM

I was just shy of 6 when it came out, and my mom took me to see it opening day. I started out as a fan of the action figures, then the cartoon, then the Archie series, so as a little kid some stuff confused the hell out of me, mostly Splinter not actually being Hamato Yoshi. Once I got a chance to read the Mirage series when I was a bit older, the movie instantly became infinitely more enjoyable.

Also, I remember my mom whining the entire car ride home and to everyone she talked to about taking me about Raphael saying "damn" multiple times.

TMNT_Guy · 08-30-2012, 12:17 PM

I was 18. They had a marathon of all the Ninja Turtles movies on TV, probably because of the release of the then new TMNT movie. I didn't get to see the third movie though because it was already 11:00 and I had school the next day. From what I've read and seen of it though, I got lucky. Loved the movie then and I love it now.

My personal favorite scene is when Danny tells them he has some pizza leftover. Donatello get their first followed by Mikey and Don asks him "Question, do you like penicillin on your pizza?". Followed by the two singing that sad melody and slowy lowing it to the ground, like the Pizza was a fallen soldier. It's cheesy, but somthing about that scene makes me laugh everytime.

Genesis · 08-30-2012, 12:39 PM

I was two that year. I've loved the Turtles since before I can remember anything.

prophecy718 · 08-30-2012, 03:42 PM

i was 6...seen it with my cousins who were around 11 at the time

*Drose18* · 08-30-2012, 03:43 PM

5 in 2004 it was even better then

Weirdo-Warrior · 09-01-2012, 09:30 AM

I was 11, I remember loving it so much, especially because it followed the story of the early Mirage comics and because Shredder was big and bad just like there.
