Ninja Turtle Product dissapointment/letdown?

have or had a TMNT product that was a disappointment/letdown?

Started picking up the 4kids single release DVDs to complete the spine artwork. Ordered vol 5 and went to line it up with vol 6 and its the same picture.

The Ninja Action turtles. Could never seem to get those to work.

The way the Fred Wolf cartoon DVDs were released. First in volumes, then in seasons, then they split season 7 into four releases - then sold them together, then when back to seasons, and they had random packaging designs. It's just sloppy, and they look bad together on the shelf.

In that case, the only one for me is the two season 5 episodes not being placed on the season 5 set, but on the season 10 set as special features instead.

Another one is where the canister of retromutagen ooze I bought turned into water.

I'd probably have to say the latest Archie TMNT Adventures TPB that only contained four issues at more than the price of inflation when the first trade was released over 20 years ago; at least make it around 8 issues so that we can finish the series in 9 volumes!

Can't say I've really been disapointed with a TMNT product. I've generaly had a good idea what I'm buying or as a kid what was being bought for me.

The only time I can really think this is when I was a kid a recieved a plastic table which had on both it's face and the single thick middle leg very cool art that was either done by the same people who did the Playmates box art or a very good imitator. I just lent with one arm on the table as I got up from kneeling by it and it snapped and broke and this was less then a week of having it.

Obviously we threw it out but to this day I've never seen this table anywhere else. It's like it never existed.

Those 4kids figures that Had a little gear or something and would " collapse". Never could do anything with those..

Pizza crunchabungas. Those things were disgusting.

The Dreamwave TMNT series was disappointing too, although a major factor in that was how horribly Dreamwave was managed which put it out of business. With a more competent comic book publisher, maybe we could have had the second coming of TMNT Adventures, sort of.

The 4Kids version of Usagi's action figure was a major disapointment! His arms just stuck out, so you couldn't pose him like the original 80s toy.

Looking back at the original toy line, while it is my favorite, what were they thinking with Shredder's sculpt? I always have to prop him against something because he can't stand on his own.

As a kid I was dissapointed that we didn't see all of the Mutanimals in action figure form, like Jagwar. Plus more variants based on the Archie comics would have been neat, like the wrestling costumes. Even if less people read the comics than watched the show, wrestling costume Turtles may have sold just as well, if not better than baseball playing Turtles or farmer Turtles.

TMNT cereal. I bought it thinking I'd love it. Turns out it tasted terrible.

For now (I have to think about past merch) the US Turtles Forever DVD, I had no idea that they cut out some scenes, seriously, was it really hard to just release the uncut version?

Unpainted weapons, especially for the Viacom basic figures.
