Season 4 Discussion Thread

So given the info we see in the previews and the space arc, Season 4 looks like it was overall one of the best seasons of the show.

This season looks like a nice mix of sci-fi and down to earth ninja/urban fights along with some mystical sorcery. And people said this show was going downhill...ahaahaha. This show is critically acclaimed.

Im not sure about the critically acclaimed part but I do think that people are somewhat hard on the Nick show and accusse it of being too loving to the FW toon.

Firstly, I don't think there's anything wrong with having alot of FW elements since I think that was a genuinely great show and Secondly, I think Nick has plenty of unique elements and original characters which make it its own thing rather than a straight copy of the 80s like the thundercats reboot was.

Maybe the photo is from the end of the 'dark leo' ark, when Leo gets un hypnotised but still has the suit on, then Karai says she isn't going to trust Shinigami anymore, then it does that freezy thing. Idk just a theory

Excuse me for sounding like a complete stalker, but I had time to spare and TMNT usually makes me desperate so... I found the guy on turtlepedia who has been able to get a hold of episode titles, descriptions, the City at War title and Broken Foot end-card.

"Have no source, but it's the official synopsis."

I googled his name and nothing came up. I looked him up on twitter and found that he only follows four people - Spongebob Squarepants, Nickelodeon, Google and Vincent Walker whom just so happens to be a writer, cartoonist and director. This guy is more than likely his source - maybe keep an eye out on Vincent and Patrick's twitter as well as Patrick's contributions to turtlepedia in the link above for further info!


EDIT: Don't harass the guy for more spoilers or info because he will probably stop uploading altogether.

Yeah I'd found the same when I was sleuthing around. He's got like zero tweets though. It looks like people @tweet him at the same time as this Vincent guy too about Nick stuff....

The stuff he's posting are super minor anyway. Official synopsises and the title cards and Sepia Shots actually haven't revealed anything other than stuff we can wildly overanalyze err I mean spitball speculate.

Yes it does look like Leo is wearing the new "Dark Leo gear".

I wonder if he's wearing it of his own free will and not hypnotized at all. The Episode description did say he secretly allies with Karai.

considering the section of the description that says he ends up in deeper danger than he couldve imagined, id say its a pretty safe bet he gets hypnotized, along w/ how he seems 2 be completely ruthless on hun (but wouldnt be surprised if otherwise)

been thinking on how some think that shinigami intrudes based on karai's pose in that image, since shinigami is supposed 2 be mystical (1st thought it was just cause of having the hypno stone), she might be able 2 track those that she has hypnotized

In all seriousness, I don't get the constant retreading waters with Raphael lately in the series. First was his anger regression in parts of season 3 (the most infamous being Clash of the Mutanimals), then Chompy to replace Spike/Slash as a pet, and now returning to acarophobia? I understand Raph is the tough, often caring for everyone underneath that rough shell, but why backtrack? It's rather repetitive as the others, to my knowledge (I'm a little rusty right now, focused on other things), don't backtrack like this.

From one of the previews, Stockman probably considers Karai partly responsible for his mutation. And I'm hoping this episode includes a reference to "Insane in the Membrane) of the 2k3 series.

He failed me because he is stupid and dont know how to do his job right. I paid him to create a army of killer robots to conquer the world and what this stupid scientist did? He made some weak robots that are not powerful enough for big battles! That why i punished him! Of course he dont want to admit and he try to blame it on others but the truth is that he and only he is the reason for the failures. He didnt learn not even when only is his brain was left alive. Now that he is a nutant monster still continue to fail me! But he will pay!! He will pay! I will throw him to mutagen that will have dna of all animals combined! So he will become a hideous and ugly monster!! That what i will do him next if he continues failing me!!

Sunglasses guy might debut in this episode since the synopsis sounds like it.

Also about the Shredder user here, The Kraang made the Foot Bots. Also Stockman was no longer in the team when The Foot alllied themselves with The Kraang and when they replaced the Foot Soldiers.
