. I might also get the turtles in training to go alongside the kid 2k3 versions.

How does it not? The other designed by Peter Laird is leaps and bounds better.
You can't even see the guys insides which is like one of the main coolness factors of the character.
He just looks like a chunks of fat/lard coming out of a kraangs garbage can.
The character even looks better on the show as does the character design photos that Nick posted on their site.
I don't think you understand what "fails in comparison" means btw.
And don't even get me started on how horrible that kirby bat thing is, that's an instant pass.

Yeah those new battle shell figures are nice and will come in handy for customs.

No one asked you to in the first place, and of course it's my opinion I wrote it from the opinion which is mine.
It really does seem that many of you on here need to realize that people aren't always going to share the same opinion as you.
I mean I'm not getting bent out of shape over you enjoying them, I'm simply stating what I thought.
Many others are doing the same thing, it's not going to change anything.
Playmates could give 2 sh1ts less what we think of their toys even the collectors line.
It's never going to stop with the differnce of opinions though because all of us want different things from these lines.
And many of us want quality while others just don't care and will keep giving out their money over the underpainted, screen inaccurate, minimally articulated toys that are being made.

I'm starting to realise that the new figures are of very poor quality. I picked up rat king... what a load of crap. Ill get the mousers but other then that ill just pass. The new 3 are terrible in my opinion

Wow after looking at some of these newer images I'm relieved I passed over the 2013 TMNT stuff. Talk about bad.

I may pick up Mutagen Man only because he was my favorite figure in the original series. But I'll probably be bummed about it.

No one knows, for all we know with Playmates history it could of been scrapped.

It's about time there's one for the sewer lair! One thing though...did they change the eye sticker from Donnie to Leo? I'll be really pissed if new versions of the lair have swappable eyes for each

It's nice to see that they used a variety of figures for the commercial, such as Stealth Tech Don.

Some of the choices of who to make toys of and who to not don't even make sense. If not for the collector's line I'd say Playmates are now on level with Jakks-Pacific. At least the toys aren't horribly stupid like a lot of the 2007 movie stuff, or very easy to break.

Yeah...things with moving parts actually have more chance to break than static statues...

I'm with Vaughn. Mutagen Man looks weak, especially when compared to the detail and color of the original.
