Well, considering the "Mystic Turtles" have all white pads in the show, rather than the colored ones like on the toys, I'd say it's Playmates taking creative liberties. Perhaps parents have complained about the turtles not being all that different from one another or something. I don't like it, personally. On the occasional variant, sure, but definitely not when you are doing something different than what the show does, such as with the vision quest figures.

The vision quest figures are screaming for customization.

I would love to have two sets of these one set moc and one set loose to customize. Considering how fast these sell where I'm at and how little stock we get in the first place I'd be lucky just to find one set let alone two.

DVD,

What is that thing behind Raphael in the packaging? Is it just the insert or is there more back there?

Also you really need to open these up and give us some more pictures of them out of package!

A lot of times you get these new figures earlier than even toy reviewers but you keep passing up the opportunity to show them off what a shame.

You do have a point there. So, I've got a second set of these dudes arriving on Tuesday. That set, I'll open up. Tho... I do plan to give them to one of our art students to paint in the details that are sadly missing.
Oh, sorry, the thing behind Raph is a leaflet for the video game.

Mikey Turlytle is out soon, with Monkey Brains, Napoleon Bonafrog, and Dark Beaver.
Personally, my fave in this bunch is Napoleon.

The first of my second set of Mystic Turtles has just arrived. The first set were generating a lot of interest from my Computer Science class, and I even found a way to use the Fast Forward Dark Turtle action figures in a lesson about Simulations !!! Who says school has to be boring!!

Funny I Thought the next wave had Baxer Fly in it. I wish they would release him already I need a decent Baxter Stockman in my collection. Also that box art is funny it shows Dogpound instead of Razhar

still dragging their feet on Karai hardcore...

Can't believe they are going to release such one-shot characters as monkey brains, bonafrog and the dream beaver before her. A crying shame.

Well, I a least hope the Mystic Turtles show up really soon.

Complaining about Karai is really beyond old at this point though. Playmates really doesn't listen to the fanbase in any sense.
