As long as Ridley and Dixie Kong make it on the roster and all veterans return I will be fine. The fact that Metroid and DK only have two reps yet Fire Emblem, Starfox and possibly Kid Icarus will all get 3 shows Sakurai's obvious bias. He also clearly has no interest in the Zelda series.

I'll laugh if Ganondorf is still a Captain Falcon clone 3 games in a row.

I've been fine with the roster, but it doesn't stop me from wanting Snake and Mewtwo on it more than anything.

But I'll still play the **** out of the game regardless.

I agree with you there bud, but I tell you one thing if Wolf gets cut, I am going to find it hard to get over that. If Fire Embalem gets 4 reps, Star Fox should at least keep the 3, even tho the fan boy in me would love to see Slippy in as a troll/joke character.

So many great Zelda Characters have been over looked, it' a real missed opportunity.

I still have big hopes that Dixie Kong will be in.

I'm really surprised Nintendo allows Sakurai to choose whoever he wants. It seems he only has to listen to GameFreak to include a new popular pokemon on the roster, but other than that they let him choose whomever.

I'm willing to bet if there was anyone at Nintendo other than Sakurai in charge, we would have had another Zelda character, Ridley, Dixie and more less fanboy ism toward a certain series.

Dark Pit being playable makes my stomach turn.

Tell me about, I am annoyed at shiek, being a make do "new" Zelda character, and like you said the thought of Dark pit is awful.

It seems most the new assits are actually better and more diverse than the active roster.

The only thing about Dark Pit, is that he wouldn't have taken the time that other characters would have. It's not as if his inclusion has kept a unique character out.

But it's still annoying seeing 3 KI characters when DK (Nintedo's 4th most successful franchise of all time) still only has 2. Especially when DK had 2 really unique characters that should have been in. Both of which are popular in the West and in Japan too.

I hope Sakurai deconfirms a few more characters with assist trophies just to spite people on Smash boards. Especially showing Isaac as an assist trophy again like he was in Brawl, can't believe people think he has a chance to be playable.

Although the people there still think Krystal from Starfox, Geno, Paper Mario, and Sceptile have a chance to be playable.

Personally, I don't think that we'll see any new characters til people unlock them themselves... I also really hate the fact that people keep complaining that Ridley isn't there... I can understand why people want Mewtwo back, But I really don't see that happening...(and I really don't like Greninja being playable... tho, he is a tough pokemon...)as for Dark Pit, I really don't care as long as he is just a skin for Pit.

I don't think Krystal stands a chance, she is the Cancer of Starfox, she allowed crap like Lucy Hare and stuff to filter in to the games. The new Star Fox on the Wii U needs to be a reboot, with the orignal 4 characters, and I think it will. So hopefuly Krystal is gone for good.

Edit: Man, some crazy legit names attached to just the 3DS version. The music in this game is going to be incredible. That Spirit Tracks song on the site is glorious.

I've been happy with roster for a while, well happy enough for this installment I think since E3, you'll see me join the mob for the next smash though. Anything extra is just extra for me now.

I mean sure I have some problems like some big ones like using Twilight Princess designs for the Zelda franchise, talk about lazy this is my biggest gripe but I've mentioned it here at least once before. The fact that the game feels rushed and I'll be sad to lose the Subspace. I also have some smaller ones like FE does get too many representatives, I'd definitely would love Mewtwo back but I understand that the PKMN roster would reek of Gen1. I think Jigglypuff should be rotated out every other SMash with Mewtwo to fix that problem, I like the 'puff as much as the next guy and an "original 8" but Mewtwo is the "final boss" of Gen 1 and more iconic than any other Pokemon after say Pikachu or the Gen 1 starters and jiggly doesn't make as much sense as he did back in the 64 game. But yeah overall I'm pretty happy with the roster, hope we get more alternate skins though.

Brawl had excellent music, so hope this games follow the trend. But yeah the pic a day was hardly as interesting as the dojo, it was definitely a downgrade even if fun sometimes. As for the leak, I swear I've seen that Duck Hunt dog 3D model on the internet before like a year ago or so. I guess it might be my imagination since no one has debunked it yet posting that pic I remember seeing though.

The roster DLC is awful. Charging money for veterans like Lucas, Wolf and the Ice Climbers? I'd expect that from EA and Activision but not Nintendo.

That's what leads me to believe the leak is fake. Sakurai even said he doesn't want to cut characters excessively, and we already know Squirtle/Ivysaur and possibly Snake are gone so we don't need more.
