I don't care what the parents want/ would complain I want show accuracy. Playmates needs to cater to collectors not just little kids and parents with some of the nick figures.

More than a year?
If you, the neighboring country can't even seem to get it, i better go all out of the way to get mine at all cost.

just saw one of the new ones that have the dropping head, i'm not gonna get it. reason being is it's the bigger style of figure, if it was standard size i'd get it.

I actually preferred them colored. They look... dull and drab as they do in the show.

I don't care about colors for the Spirit Turtles. I'm just glad they have any paint on them.

haha Good point!!

When I first saw the mystic turtle figures, I really liked them. However, after seeing how awesome they looked on the episode yesterday, I am disappointed that they are not show accurate.

Is there a reason toy companies don't produce show accurate figures? Do they want to have their own take at the character or are there other issues such as copyrights? It is frustrating but if there is a real reason why, then it may make me a little less agitated.

Because they probably think the figures will sell better if they're colorful.

Honostly I think Playmates makes more money on Collectors than Kids do. I see more collectors posting on their facebook page more so than Parents of kids.

Because alot of parents don't care about the company they buy their kids toys from. When your buying figures do you see more kids or collectors.

i think it's pretty close to half adults and half kids, at least for the basic figures. Maybe not right down the middle but it's probably close. Maybe 40% adults, 60% kids, somewhere around there

in terms of raw numbers, more kids are wanting (and getting their parents to buy) the figures, but in terms of sales, adult fans or collectors have way more money at their disposal and buy more figures so it balances it out a lot.

I've just caught the look of the Mystic Turtles on the show.
I think the colored versions are more kid friendly. That said, I am going to screen shot each Turtle, and I am going to get an art student to paint up my second set in the show colors, if grey is a color !

On a completely different note, I just received an email saying my Hello Kitty Turtles were in the post. These look pretty cute; Hello Kitty cos playing as the Turtles. Photos when they arrive.

Does anyone know when the Vision Quest/Mystic Turtles are due out? I remember someone saying May for Karai, will it be the same for the mystics or are they coming sooner?

My first set is now on the wall.

These figures must be in store soon . Also, a push behind many of the earlier releases, in the new packaging.
I have seen DogPound, FishFace, Shredder 2, Cockroach, MetalHead so far. Each would have been improved further if it were the character on the card, but it is the four Turtles in the upper RHS of the card. Still, a good chance to catch up on earlier figures that you might have missed.

My god, those are the worst turtle paint jobs to date. Well, next to the Bayturtles, I guess. What a complete & utter waste of cool concepts.
