Yeah, that's kind of why I want Renet to be the one to set things right. So that the time machine (window) never gets fixed and there is absolutely zero way for Cody to ever bring them back to the future.

Cody brought them to the future by accident, I doubt he'd do it again. There would be little incentive for the writers to have them re-visit the future either.

Anyhoo, this thread has always been a major headache. Thank god the licensing show is in 5 more days, I guess we may learn the future of the cartoon soon enough.

Lets hope so. If the show doesnt get a seventh season I am going to be pissed. Larid told me 4kids wanted them to do atleast eight seasons. But this was last year and things change all the time. Sill, I have faith 4kids will do tmnt justice.

While limited in information, I do believe that's new.

This bit being the most interesting: "there's a whole new TV series coming fall 2008."

This would seem to support my thought that Fox airs the remaining FF episodes and the Lost season next year, then in the Fall we get the revamped, presumably movie-ish, series.

At least this licensing show is in less than a week now, so we can get some concrete answers.

And answere we shall have! Be they good or bad...I'm still not to happy about the thought of the movie world being put into the animated series...I just think it's a bad move.
I know no one else will agree with that but I have my reasons.

New series =/= new continuity.

They're probably going to retitle the show as "TMNT" and go from there.

I agree.. and it'll likely be designed to look more like the movie.

If they do I walk from there. I don't mind them changing the name but for the sake of all that is holy please don't start it all over again I don't think I can handle it.
It'll be sad to since I've been a fan a long ass time. But I just cant see myself enjoying it all oh well I'll atleast still have the comics...oh wait nevermind.

I personally will be happy to see Fast Forward end and see them try something else.

Curious to see what happens and what this will all mean for the chances for a 2nd film also!

If we are getting a new series in 2008, whatever form it may be in, I would almost guarantee some happy sequel news.

Yeah, making the show have some movie influence wouldn't really make sense unless it had a new movie to advertise. I'd say the chances for a movie sequal seem a little brighter at this point.

I'm assuming the new series will have another animation change, not the FF style but not the 2k3 style either...something new. I do wonder if the Turtles will get pupils this time around, but anything could be fair game. I'm just excited that a new season is confirmed now, so we can stop worrying about the cartoon being cancelled.

The reason I'm not happy about it is the fact that it looks like every time they fail they keep going ooohhh well lets just doing something else or start over.
I just don't want it to keep happening over and over.

I really hope they don't think about starting over again. That would be beyond pointless. I hope they just return them to the present & go from there. If they start over again, my head just may explode

Well isn't the old saying, if at first you don't succeed, try try again?

Besides, it's not like wer'e gonna have to sit through the orgin story again. If this is based on the movie, then they won't need to do any of that. The characters have already been established, the Shredder's already defeated, so they can just jump right into it with new stories.

Every time I try to get out, they keep pulling me back in.

Same here and it will just seem like a huge waste of time.

While some of that is true many things have yet to happen And I can honestly say I DO NOT want Shredder to come back.
I also wont be watching the entire lets meet karai her and leo fight every episode thing again. It was bad enough the first time.
I mean I'm gonna watch it I think this tmnt idea is something that I've been the least excited about in years.

As long as the new show has better animation than fast forward and fight scenes as good as 2k3 I cant complain. I would prefer returning to 2k3 but beggers cant be choosers. I have my fingers crossed for the new show to be better if not as good as 2k3.

Considering the movie is just a slightly different version of 2k3 anyway, there's going to be hardly any difference.

Unless we hear news that the current TMNT voice actors are fired and replaced with their movie voices, the new series probably is a continuation of 2k3 (and FF), but we'll have to wait and see to be sure. I don't see Laird and/or 4kids wanting to throw away everything they did for the last 5 years. They fact that they even tied in FF to the Lost season says a lot in itself.
