I thought that was her in the commercial, even pointed it out to my sister! She didn't look any different from her TMNT days... I liked her and Paige as April, why didn't she do another TMNT movie anyway?

I heard a rumor that she wanted more money than what she could receive. She was refused, and she walked. I'm not certain if that's true or not. Again, it was a rumor I heard.

I'd put my money on Judith Hoag just not being available for the second and third movies. Looks like she was pretty busy with various TV shows and movies around 91-93, so I'd bet she was just wrapped up in other projects and contractually obligated to complete them.

Ninja edit: Pizzapower... That's one helluva sig. Consider shrinking it down a bit?

from what i've read and heard, hoag wasn't happy at all with how the first movie came out. paraphrased, "The script had so much more soul that with what ended up on screen." does that have anything to do with her not returning for the sequels? no idea there....

It's Halloweentown, and I so did not know that Gwen was Judith, and I've seen it and the sequel several times. It could be I didn't recognize her. It has been years since I saw the first TMNT movie.

I love Judith Hoag's cleft chin. It's probably the only reason my mom recognized her on CSI the other day.

I also liked her April better than Paige Turco's...something about the way she carried off both the attitude and vulnerablity. And of course her chemisty with Elias Koteas (Casey Jones).

*on the lookout for that commercial*
