Not the "It's a good show and it's aired on Fox." It was a joke...I'm sorry it's unclear...Heck I heard this is the last year for King of the Hill and Arrested development (although ADI could be wrong)

I love when people lose all hope when there arnt ninja or shredder in the stories cracks me up....I didn't really read through this entire thing since your first post was like an hour long lol....but not sure if you know this but everything so far in this new season is based off of old issues of the mirage comic with slight changes to improve on the change in our culture..........
next week I am excited about because it will (or atleast I hope it does) give us some more insight on a character we know very little about!
so stop being so damn worried the show is fine.

^ That's what I was thinking. People lose so much hope because Shredder is no longer a part of the story (or so we think). The original Mirage comics had Shredder for less than 10 issues out of over 70 (this includes the one-shots and Tales of the TMNT issues). Obviously, the turtles could go on without Shredder successfully. If it could happen in the original comics (which this new series is based off of), then I'm pretty sure the new series can do the same.

Not to mention, I've seen NO fillers, so far. This new episode just looks like we'll be introduced to that winged mutant that saved Mikey from falling to his doom, in the TMNT Volume 4 comics (I forget the guy's name). And so far, each episode of this season has shown character development. "Filler" is so easily tossed, without even considering what the hell is being said. How these episodes are "filler" is beyond me. Both episodes have shown connection and may be a source for future problems that arise later in the season; for example: like if Leo snaps... we can now see that these episodes were made to show signs that Leo was going to snap, it was a foreshadowing of what was to come or what to expect.

It's just too early to even consider this season to be bad... especially since we have yet to even go into this season. How far have we gone, 1/13th into it? Goodness, all you need is patience. Let time pass before you give it a grade. It's like a teacher giving his student an "F" on the test because he missed his first two questions, when there are still 24 questions the teacher has yet to even check.

Unclear? He used the razzing smiley...

Whatever.

As for this "writing on the wall" phrase everyone's barking, I don't think most people know what it means, which is, "obvious to all." And since this whole assumption is definitely not obvious to all, the proverbial writing is not on the proverbial wall.

I thought about that, it would be very cool is they concentrated of BOTH of them...Raph helping Leo get through his issues; Raph knows those issues and should totally understand how the anger feels and stuff...he'd be the best to help him..not even sensei should help him.

Frankly, I'm glad Shredder is out of the picture, at least for now. I'd like to see new stories and new villains.

Im sure the show will be great without the shredder
Karai can take over the foot clan just as in the comics...easily..

Im really pleased to see that "sons of the silent age"is the next episode after
"a wing and a prayer"! Cant wait to see that one

.....But LUCKFF....Im with you!! Streetfights all the way!

i dislike how there is no story between season four so far. it just does not fit they go from one alien race to another and one attitude to another. there is no story. sure the healing subplot was good, it ended a while ago though. having villian of the week episodes now just stinks. last year, even the fillers mattered(mostly) i hope the season finds its course.

I'm sure these "fillers" will be put into perpective soon enough. I still don't see the point of most of the fillers in season 2, but the issue at hand seems to be character development, namely Leo's moody spell. I'm sure when they start to address it directly (aka not just have his bros comment on it) it'll have something to do with their main plotline.

Three episodes is still too early to make a judgement call on the whole season.

I didn't see the Winged episode as a Filler. It took a connection from the NFTU story arc with the crystals. With "Cousin Sid" I saw it as a way for the turtles to use there brains more to defeat an enemy(s) rather then head on with the inclusion of April and Casey(s) developement.

1. "The People's Choice" is from the original comics. TMNT Vol 1 issue 13... read it...

2. "A Wing and a Prayer" features the origin story of Raptarr. He's from the comics.... saved Mikey near the start of Vol 4...unfortunatly Gameraph nearly killed him.

I don't think the season 4 episoded so far have been fillers. There have been threads that they have used from past episodes and some from past seasons. It looks like in this new episode they are tying in the whole Underground/Intlintian storyline and bringing out into the whole scheme of things in terms of the TMNT universe. As for last week, I really didn't think the whole J'hanna thing was all that important (except maybe to show poor Donnie fall for another girl who summarily left him ), what I thought was important was the further development of the whole April/Casey romance. I'm really glad they have finally woken up and written Casey more seriously, instead of being a goofball all the time.

How the hell can you determine the fate of a show based on 3 episodes? Give it a friggin chance.

As much as that would be awsome to see I think I would like a little more focus on Donatello this season. The poor turtle gets no spot light put on him most of the time unless he invents something new. I want to see a little bit of focus on what he is feeling and thinking, and what makes him tick. I am looking foward to the arc of the story where he gets super mutated.

Leo's issues, that's very interesting. I wanna know what's in store for him! But typical, that it's gonna focus on Leo and his emotional problems. Yeah I'm biased but Raph doesn't get anough attention, not enough character development. Donnie's getting it which is great cause I like him alot, Mike got it with his venture out with sensei. I need a good multi-part Raph centric storyline...I can dream.

There is no such thing as a FILLER!

and heard season 5 was in the works when 4 was in the can...so it's not done yet
I wouldn't say Raph hasn't been going through some character development. I mean, haven't you noticed that with Leo going through all this angst and becoming more rash, Raph is starting to mature a little. Maybe seeing that whit Leo acting the way he is, he must keep a level head or the team will fall apart.

But who knows, maybe when Leo calms down, Raph might go back to being the hot head again.
