After Seeing Season 4 So Far With Patience, Its Becoming Unwatchable Its Fate Is Near

Now you all got to say yea we had some high hopes for season 4 and I still do but everything I seen is showing the show is going overboard. Whats up with this weeks Alien out of nowhere ep and Flying turtles next week?. I Feel like we are going back in time with mutant of the week eps and nowhere storylines that people do not care about. I know every ep is supposed to be linked to something I know that but lately with a weak opening as this season has its going to completly kill the show. Not even cartoon network or anyone wants to play the show as it is. I just would like to request the writers rethink where the show is and think about quality and things people would be interested in if theres no show then theres no story to tell. They can still go from the comics but just do it in a way its not so outlandish like the last 2 weeks. I know its really a continuation of shredder beating them up and I like how they kept them all beat up looking and all but was the last 2 weeks storys inside that necesary to tell nothing really captured you to want to watch i and be happy or some sort of proud like you know it was a good ep or had something to keep you hoping for more or knowing its going to get better. My personal opinion im losing hope after seeing what I saw now. I just hope this dont spell the end of the show before the movie comes out. Remember season 5 was just a rumor as far as I read on here at least. Anyways this is all my opinion and not trying to piss anyone off. I never really get this worked up to want to let you all know sorry about the grammer to thats why I dont like typing much lol

Dude just keep watching. The season is just getting started. Wait till you see the episodes Bad Day and Dargon's Brew. Hun and Bishop finally get back into the action. But if you cant wait for them to air on 4 Kids TV, then buy the DVD Shredder's Final Countdown. Those two(along with Cousin Sid) are on there.

HAVE YOU WATCHED THE "SHREDDERS COUNTDOWN" DVD? I SEE WHERE YOU ARE COMING FROM, BUT IT DOESNT SEEM LIKE YOU HAVE WATCHED THE DVD EPISODES. FOR THOSE OF US WHO SAW THE SNEAK PEAK OF SEASON 4 KNOW WHAT WE ARE EXPECTING THIS SEASON. THE "COUSID SID" EPISODE WAS A PERFECT FOLLOW UP TO SEASON 3 AND "THE PEOPLES CHOICE" EPISODE IS A FILLER (PRETTY GOOD ONE) AND ALLOWS FOR US TO SEE HOW MUCH TIME THE TURTLES ARE REALLY SPENDING THERE. DONT ASK ME ABOUT NEXT WEEK EPISODE BECAUSE THAT SEEMS TO COME OUT OF NOWHERE. I THINK THAT WE SHOULD WAIT TILL THE TURTLES GET BACK TO THE CITY TO SEE HOW EXCITEING IT WILL GET. I KNOW THAT WE HAVE AT LEAST TWO MORE EPISODES REMAINING ON THE RANCH. I MEAN WE HAVENT EVEN SEEN ANY SIGNS OF BISHOP IN ACTION, SO WE CAN STILL LOOK FOWARD FOR HIM. WE GOT THE RATKING COMING AND WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE. PERSONALLY I REALLY LIKE THAT THEY ARE USEING THE COMICS ALOT THIS SEASON. SO FAR THIS SEASON LOOKS AS HIGH QUALITY AS IT EVER HAS. WE HAVE BIG CHANGES FOR THE 1ST TIME WITH LEOS PERSONALITY AND CASEY/APRIL RELATIONSHIP. I CAN BET YOU THAT BY THE END OF THE SEASON WE CAN CALL THIS THE DEEPEST SEASON. AND DONT BE SURPRISE IF WE SEE APRIL PREGNANT OR THE BIRTH OR SHADOW. AND IM NOT SAYING THIS AS SOME OF THE PEOPLE ON THESE FORUMS THAT NEVER NEGATE ANYTHING AS IVE NOTICED. IM QUICK TO POINT OUT ANY B***S*** I SEE. SO FAR I SEE NONE.

Ummmm one learn how to use paragraphs. And two watch the show. Seriously if you watch the preview to season 4 and the 3 episodes on the Shredder DVD I don't see how you could possibly think the new season is bad.

Obviously if they don't do some stuff for kids the show will go no where. Hence flying turtles and random aliens. The 3 newest episodes will not be liked by children. Not the ones I saw on the DVD. There is nothing for young kids at all in those episodes. It's way to dark and over their heads. The show has surpassed itself. It's exactly where I want it. And I hope to get a few seasons of this before it's all over >_<

yea i'm sorry I got wound up. I just seemed a little disapointed on the slowness of where the season is trying to turn us. Yes Leo is pissed but the events going on so far with the Alien out of nowhere ep which is a filler and Caseys brother didnt really interest me to be like wow I wonder whats going to happen next. I guess the dissapointment of a less wowy Opening Season kinda lost my interest in this filler type eps we been seeing.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this season is going to be more urban-based than sci-fi based. But hey bring on the mutants and monsters as long as they get to kick their asses in the alleys of the big apple.

But I do hope we get to see Usagi again I love that rabbit samurai. And hopefully his appearance may give Leonardo a way to unload and he can start feeling better. I love the friendship between Usagi and Leonardo

I THINK THAT "COUSIN SID" WAS CASEY JONES DEVELOPEMENT. THE WAY HE TOOK CARE OF THE ENTIRE SITUATION WAS PERFECT. IT SHOWED GROWTH IN THAT CHARACTER. "COUSIN SID" WAS NOT A FILLER. I ALSO FEEL THAT THIS EPISODE WAS A TEST OF CREATIVE WRITEING "HOW DO WE INCORPERATE THE TURTLES IN THIS PLOT UNDER THE CONDITION THEY ARE IN?". ITS WHAT GOOD WRITERS DO, THEY JAM THEMSELVES UP SO THAT THEY CAN WORK HARDER AT BEING CREATIVE. I KNOW AS A WRITER THAT DOING THIS ALMOST ALWAYS TURNS OUT QUALITY MATERIAL.

I AGREE. I FAVOR THE URBAN FEEL MORE THEN THE SCI-FI FEEL. IT BREWS BETTER FIGHTS TOO. I WANT THE WHOLE SEASON OF JUST STREET FIGHTING.

No offense to the person who started this thread, but you obviously don't have any patience. Two eps into the season and you're already complaining?!

I think it's great so far, yes it's going at a slower pace than the last two seasons but that doesn't make it bad. Season 1 started off a little slow too, did you think it was becoming "unwatchable" then?

That's what I was thinking... kind of. Doubled with the fact that both shows were based on actual published comics, and not filler of any kind, it really isn't an omen that the series is going to hell.

Fortunately, a lot of people from the hype from the 80s have taken interest in this show. Now I'm not saying this show is only good because of the hype, but just pointing out a lot of us watch it because we already like and are familiar with TMNT.

I actually hope it throws in a mixture of urban and sci-fi. I don't think it should do away with sci-fi completely. We're talking about mutated turtles for crying out loud. That in itself is sci-fi.

I said that because it's really hard to read a soild wall of text as opposed to a break every 5 sentences or so. It's easier on the eyes that's all.

Actually I think so far seson 4 is off to a kick butt start. I've enjoyed the first two eps immensly. I can live with the monsters and junk; it's character development I'm mostly interested in.
Leo's issues, that's very interesting. I wanna know what's in store for him! But typical, that it's gonna focus on Leo and his emotional problems. Yeah I'm biased but Raph doesn't get anough attention, not enough character development. Donnie's getting it which is great cause I like him alot, Mike got it with his venture out with sensei. I need a good multi-part Raph centric storyline...I can dream.

There is no such thing as a FILLER!

and heard season 5 was in the works when 4 was in the can...so it's not done yet

I thought Season Four got a good start, having them still wounded instead of better and up at at 'em, that way it was give us the feeling that they just returned home and there are still some things that they need to work out.

I don't know where some folks are reading "handwriting on the wall" at all where the series' length is concerned. The series is doing fine, IMHO. Some of us need to start thinking POSTIVELY, instead of negatively, for a change. If you watch a show just speculate on how long it'll be before it gets cancelled, then what's the point IN watching it at all?! Now, me, I like to speculate on just how long it will LAST, not how long it will be before it ends. But that's just me.

And even if it DOES end after Season 5, that's okay. It will have had a good run. But I personally think that it will probably last a bit LONGER than that...ESPECIALLY if PETER has anything to say about it.

And that's MY 2 cents on the subject.

Peace.

As much as I like Leo, I gotta agree with you. Let's have a good story where Raph has to work through some emotional problem. The closest we got was somewhere around "Tales of Leo," when we saw that for all his insults and bad-temperedness, he cares for his bros. Lessee... this doesn't count, but in "Notes from the Underground" he did a whole lot of watching his bros' backs.

Maybe we can still have some Raph development. What with the (perhaps temporary) role shift as Leo comes to terms with himself and Donny takes over... what will Raph do? Leo is encroaching on his position, so to speak. Will he resent his brother more, or pull a "you don't wanna be me" and help him work through it? *scratches chin* I wonder...

WHERE DO YOU SEE THE WRITING ON THE WALL?? I DONT UNDERSTAND. WHAT WEB SITES DO YOU FREQUENT THAT TELL YOU THIS? I WENT TO THE TOYS R US EVENT IN TIME SQUARE NEW YORK AND SAW ALL THE LITTLE KIDS GOING CRAZY, IT SEEMS STRONGER THEN EVER. WE HAVE THE 4TH NINJA TURTLE GAME COMMING OUT, A NEW MOVIE IN 2007,A TOUR AROUND THE WORLD, AT LEAST 50 MORE EPISODES. I NEED TO SEE IN WRITING WHERE YOU GUYS SEE THIS. I WATCHED THE HE-MAN SERIES ON CARTOON NETWORK AND THAT SHOW HAD SPRAY PAINT ACROSS THE WALL. THE THINGS THAT WERE GOING WRONG WITH THAT SHOW WERE CLUES TO ITS IMPENDING END. NOBODY TALKED ABOUT SEASON 3 WHEN IT CAME TO HE-MAN. THE WEBSITE WAS ASKING FOR DONATIONS CONSTANTLY, THE TOYS WERNT SELLING, THE COMICS WERNT SELLING, THE VIDEO GAME WAS CANCELED (YET NEARLY COMPLETED, WITH GAME PLAY AND ALL.). I MEAN YOU CAN SEE WHEN A SHOW IS COMMING TO AN END. THE BATMAN SERIES ON WPIX (11 IN NYC) ALREADY HAS RUMORS OF ITS CANCELATION TO THE POINT THAT A REPRESENTATIVE HAD TO PUBLICLY NEGATE THE RUMORS. I NEVER SAW PETER LIARD ANNOUNCING THAT THE SHOW IS NOT IN DANGER OF CANCELATION NEVER THE LESS A REPRESENTATIVE. PLEASE LIST FOR ME THE SIGNS THAT YOU SEE.

I believe Jester was joking, due to the fact that FOX is notorious for canceling their popular programming for no apparent reason, i.e. Dark Angel and Family Guy. Oh, and the use of the razzing smiley.

Indeed.
JOKEING OR NOT, JESTER WAS VERY UNCLEAR WITH HIS SARCASM. SO MUCH IN FACT THAT TWO PEOPLE BESIDES ME INTERPRETED THE SAME THING. YOU BELIEVE THAT? THE SAME THING. BESIDES I BELIEVE THAT HE BELIEVES WHAT HE WROTE. IVE HEARD TOO MANY PEOPLE TALK IN "WRITING ON THE WALL" TERMS.
