I agree. I like Fast Forward and that doesn't make me less of a fan of the TMNT. Of course, in my opinion it isn't half as good as 2K3, but it strangley reminds me of the original toon at some points. All these funny gadgets (mind reading devices and so on, there were plenty of them in the old TMNT), various types of aliens and robots and friendly laughing turtles create a similar atmosphere to the '87 cartoon. I know that many of the fans of the old show will want to shoot me for that, but that's how I feel it.

Bottomline is I'll continue to watch Fast Forward, no matter what. Hell, I'd watch each and every bit of the TMNT that we get, regardless of the form

The original cartoon had tremendous humour, the humour in this series has always sucked, so that's never going to be FF's strong point, the original series did'nt have an irritating MENSA prodige running the family buinsess, the original series did'nt have bland villains

...God the comparisons to the original series are ridiculous at this rate, it's nowhere on it's level, and even sadder, I think some standards and tastes have been deliberatly lowered to enjoy it, I just do, nowhere in this world is even similar to Batman Beyond either, hell if BB was still on I doubt this would even be watched when compared to that.

This is, of course, your opinion and I respect that. But no matter what you think, Fast Forward reminds me of the old toon

Maybe that's why I don't like it.

Anyhow, comparing old toon to new toon is a moot point. They're completely different. For different eras in the world. That's it.

Besides, liking or not liking FF doesn't make anyone less or more of a fan. We're all fans... just with different opinions.

Do you even know what the old toon was? It was a forth wall breaking and sarcasm ridden fun series with science fiction undertonings and minimum use of additional annoying child genius prodigys and had strong beleivable characters, FF does'nt have beleivable characters or settings.

The original toons didn't really pick up into what is 'generally' remembered as the classic toons until midway through season 3/season 4. Season 1 for the most part was great (the set-up arc especially) and season 2 of the original toon was pretty forgettable. It wasn't until they started bringing in all the mutants and newer villains that it really started to soar. I'm pretty sure that the haters of FF are still firing their guns too early. It's only three episodes in, and there are a ****load of cartoons out there that came good further in.

Yes, we know so much about the series from 3 episodes....Zarius I don't like it that much either. But you saw what the boardman said and all in all.
I'm not even going to tell you to give it a chance because I know regardless of if you like it or not I know your going to watch it.
I also wish you would stop jumping all over everyone who says they like Fast Forward or says it's like the old toon.
And I mean your being a bit hypocritical because you yelled at me for jumping on people for complaining about Fast Forward when the only reasons they basically gave was ugh I'm angry I hate little kids in ninja turtle show ugh!
Or I'm angry I hate the future I hate robots. Dark Dark Gritty Gritty nitty Gritty! I hardly find those to be valued opinions I actually have started ignoring them because I have hope for this. Sure it's not that great right now but it very well may get very good I mean we've only seen three freaking episodes!
I guess some times though I forget I'm rather old amongst a younger tmnt Fandom lol.
It's not really like the old toon man but they sure are trying right now. And to be honest I wouldn't mind but they need to hire a joke writer that's for sure lol.
Cause one thing I've hated from the beginning of this new toon is the jokes they are sooo lame.
I would really like to start a pros and cons of Fast Forward list so far that would be fun and productive I think and perhaps help the people working on the show instead of showing them all we do is bicker.

I just don't see the point in fighting over it is all we all are here why?
Why do we buy all of the comic books?
Why did we watch every episode of the 80's toon?
Why did we get up every Saturday morning in our teens/adult lives even with hang overs to watch 2k3 tmnt?
Why did "some" of us watch Ninja Turtles Next Mutation even if it's the worst thing ever?
Same goes for Image's TMNT?
WHY YOU ASK? BECAUSE WE FREAKING LOVE NINJA TURTLES!
And that's why I'm gonna keep watching Fast Forward until they Bring in a Female Ninja Turtle, Turn Donatello into a cyborg, And splinter becomes a blue floating spirit!
As the fan's used to say "Make Mine Mirage" Mirage indeed!

Ecto...why should I give a crap if an apologist finds my behaviour disgusting? It's not as if I take down these people with "I respect your stance on this crappy season" in considerable mind especialyl when they don't seem to grasp the concept of what there comparing that season to, what the heck are you going to do? Come over to my house in my country with a keyboard and beat civility into me? Or boast that someone I've feuded with over FF before and made up with happens to agree with you?

Take it on the chin, and stay out of my buisness

Season Two is one of the most memorable period, ask anyone here, with mutants and monsters it started to gradually devolve and become less of an action/comedy series.

Ok, so cons are what: Cody, art style, Serling and lame jokes?
What are the pros? That we still have the TMNT? That since it's only 3 episodes in it may pick up story wise? Think of the first 3 episodes from past seasons. can we really judge the series on just 3 episodes?
I agree it's not as funny as the OT (If the 2k3 TMNT start breaking the 4th wall, I'm not sure how it'd work) or as action packed and character driven as the 2k3 series, but it's only just started.

But, as a refrence, I'm gonna post something that I've thought up....please take it with a grain of salt, as I'm not an expert but...
Batman: The Animated Series ended. Timm and company did Superman, but soon went back to the Dark Knight with a simplified art design, but similar story telling. Lasted one season.
X-men: TAS, changed art designs in the last season (also re-cast Gambit) but maintained decent storytelling (I cried at the end of Graduation Day). Ended soon after.
Gargoyles maintained the art style, but the stories slipped. Lasted what, 13 episodes?
See, it's not just TMNT and it's not just bad story or modified art design. I just hope TMNt can rise above it.

...I'd say it's possible, given the strengths of "Things Change", "A Perfect Mousetrap", and "Attack of the Mousers", and then there's the matter of Next Mutation's first three episodes which in some objective ways...was better, and that's seriously creepy

I happen to disagree the show got really boring what with Irma's love interest and boring crap like Phantom of the floxy(sp). As a kid I didn't even like any of the episode that fox played (Hah big surprise there hu?) Yea then CBS had those mutant ones they played during the weekend that just rocked. To me the show really sucked at the point of when Fox was just pumping out episodes because of how big the turtles got...both the show it's self as well as the animation really went down hill. I don't think it really came back until the CBS episodes.
And btw what's wrong with standing up for something you believe in you just as much an Apologist as anyone else I see on here. Unless your using this term to confuse people.
Because Sticking up for people being attacked is something I thought you stood for also but hell I could be wrong.
I mean Zarius not to get personal or anything but you pretty much the bully of this website and at times even I have been afraid to post my own thoughts on things because I don't feel like being told I'm this or that for liking something or having faith in something I love.
It's great and all that we all have different opinions but there is nothing wrong with someone who can justify what they're talking about.
Which I agree allot of people need to but as you, I, and just about everyone else here knows most people are lazy.
I'm not trying to say stop being this or that but seriously man some times you come off a bit harsh like you told me. and really when you step back and take a look at what you say to people only then can you realize what your doing.

Lol I agree besides the Dr. Quease episodes of course. He was my favorite character on that show.
You would think Peter & the Crew @ Mirage would learn their lesson already with fox.
I mean let's see what has fox done to tmnt? Old Toon rushed episodes changed everything about the turtles basically almost from what Eastman & Liard wanted them to be..for so fast cash, Then we got Next mutation from fox oh yea real winner right there...and that was like 100% all fox there they still didn't learn their lesson, then we get 2k3 tmnt good but not the best it can be fox waters everything down and when the show try's to fight back they just use harder faster water namely fast forward Peter and the gang may finally learn a lesson here...I don't hate Fast Forward just yet..but it really all seems to be more about Fast Cash than it does Fast Forward to me in the end sadly.

It would take more than a keyboard to knock some sense into you.

He's not a bully, he's just really annoying. Every board on the 'Net has a couple of users like him...There's really nothing we can do about it. The only thing we can do is ignore the guy and hope that he gradually gets the hint (though I'm doubtful that'll ever happen.)

So what, you're not allowing me to have opinion now or? Yes, I do know what the old toon was, yes, I have watched all the epsiodes more than once and yes, I still find quite a few similarities between it and Fast Forward.

This is my opinion, end of discussion. Period. My opinion is my opinion and yours is yours, don't even try to make me think like you. And in your own words: "what the heck are you going to do? Come over to my house in my country with a keyboard and beat civility into me?"

Good points, Jester. TMNT is not alone; this is something that has happened to many shows, and we could point to shows that are not cartoons also.

TMNT has already exceeded the expectations people had in 2003.

I wonder, though, does anyone think of the children? Think of the children, good people of turtleland. Don't we want Fast Forward to succeed? Don't we want the children to get addi-- um-- to develop a love for TMNT? They can help prolong the franchise. You see, I believe the children are our future. Teach them well, and let them favor TMNT in focus groups. Show them all that TMNT can provide. Give them a sense that TMNT is their own... a sense of pride, if you will. To make it easier.
