I mean revenue from the third movie. After all, I still went to watch it joyfully. It was either that, or go to see "Far and away" with a classmate. I am glad I chose the Turtles one. I still have not watched the other one nor want to.

And I do agree that the OT is quite Donatello centric, not just Michelangelo centric like it has been stated to be. Donnie does quite a few inventions. Donnie is featured in quite a few episodes- not just those mentioning his name. Donnie and his machines save the day quite often. He certainly did NOT get the shaft.
I don't think the OT was so very Michaelangelo centric as some fans have said it to be. Donatello was the turtle that had the most development and well rounded character than all the other turtles. He was the only turtle that could really handle a situation on his own with out the help of the other turtles and seemed to have the best of both worlds: a skillled fighter and keen intellect. Plus to add even more depth to his character he had a bit of a dark side that was shown in episodes like "Donatello's Duplicate" where he clones an evil clone of him self, and of course Night Of the Dark Turtle where Donatello snaps and its shown how crippled the turtles are with out him.

Agreed. In most eps Donatello even acts like the leader and tells Leonardo what to do. (in a good chunk of the seasons, not just 7)

Donatello seems to get the short end of the stick in all other mediums but the original cartoon was THE most Donatello-centric than any of the other TMNT universes. The old toon writers loved him and it showed, and man, his voice also gave him the authority and intellect he needed.

I really liked it that old toon Don wasn't as passive as 2k3 Don, it was always awesome to see him get into a fight in the original cartoon, make up a plan that even Leo couldn't think of, and have some overall great moments. Original cartoon Donatello was definitely awesome, and its no surprise people liked him so much back then too.

I don't think 2k3 series Donatello is as passive as every one makes him out to be. He certainly has shown that he posseses a bit of a temper and can get take charge on ocassion; like in the episode The People's Choice. In fact I have been waiting for the day where that boy snaps and does something crazy...like creating a biological weapon and affecting the cities water supply with it to monotor its effects on people, all for the sake a scienctific curiosity. Mwahahaha

The animation is great, the art design is good and far more consistent, the lip syncing is great, and they ACTUALLY FIGHT. My personal favorite eps so far are, Night of the Dark Turtle, Night of the Rouges, Dirk Savage Mutant Hunter, and The Legend of Koji (any other really good ones?). Alot of them are up on youtube now.
I saw this saw all eps on youtube. I notice that the 1993 season was the last of the Turtles as we knew it.

I notice that a lot of the old background music in earlier seasons was starting to disappear by then 1993, but it was the last season to have the old battle theme music (they had it one episode in 1996).

I loved night of the dark turtle, Shredder triumphant and Night of the Rouges!!!!

THIS WAS JAMES AVERY's last season sadly.

I loved seeing donatello almost kill shredder.

shredder triumphant was a true season finale and a great way to wrap up the Series before Red sky.

shredder and krang were appearing in nearly all the episodes again.

You sure about that? O_o I have James Avery doing the voice of Shredder in the 1994 8th season in my memory. I'll check my tapes later, but I'm pretty sure that was his last.

Now that I have watched the "Red Sky" episodes, it makes me appreciate Season 7 even more. When things had started to pick up again, then they change the whole concept.

I truly hope they do NOT pull something like that in the 2k3 show. But I would still be willing to watch it as long as it is just character design changes and not a lame head villain like Dregg.

about season 7

I have watched season 7 (1993 and the last season before the red sky seasons) and noticed that alot of the background music from the earlier seasons, 1990, 1991 and 1992 were vanishing and not in it. BUT IT throughout kept the battle theme music (the background music when the Turtles fight the bad guys). That music was not in the REd sky eps (except in Turtle in TIme in the 1996 season when landor and merrick go back to 1994 Turtle trek episode).

And why did James avery stop voicing Shredder by that point? I have told all my friends who like Fresh prince Bel Air that Uncle phil's voice was the same as Shredder and they did not notice.

And KRang used his Android body less!!!!!! the last episode of Krang in his android body was Shredder triumphant and in the red sky eps he used the Bubble walker!!!

I call season 7 and its finale Shredder Triumphant as the end of the Turtles as we knew it from the beginning.

Ok Firstly Sir. Postallot we allready have a topic about Season 7 here:
http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=20979
Secondly what does the music matter at all it seems like you're just being nit picky about things?
And I'm pretty sure James said he stopped doing Shredder because it hurt his throat to do the voice.
& I'm pretty sure Krang used his old Bubble Walker more in these episodes because the Android Body was stuck in Dimension X with the Technodrome.
I wouldn't say so since until the very end of the series the story continues up until the last episode where we see the Technodrome one last time, Krangs Android Body, We even Get shredder, Krang and Foot during Final Episodes.
Also I'm still Finding it funny that Some one who has Dregg in their name would Ragg so badly on those episodes..I don't see the point really.
Of course I also don't see the point in posting the same subjects over and over.

I did not have many problems with red sky, it just seemed different.

The season 7 and shredder triumphant, I just ment it was the end of the Turtles as we knew it, before the change. sorry.

I noticed that season 7 was darker like season 1 and was mostly at night. it was setting up for the changes of the red sky seasons I guess.

Call me crazy, but I watched Legend of Koji to see if the season appealed to me that much more. I know it's only one episode, but it didnt seem different then all the other dvd's I'm buying other then season one. Nostalgia is fun, but I'm still hoping something will reel me in in this day as well as season one still can.
