The point there was to make reference to the power of suggestion. How could simple mothballs have the power to do what they did? Because the Turtles believed they could. If you don't want to take my word for it, you can gather all seven mothballs, summon the eternal moth, and ask him yourself. ^_^

I could bring up "Superhero for a Day" where he almost killed all four of them, then captured all four of them again later in the episode. But I won't.

This is not directed at anyone in particular (it's more preventative than anything else), but while I don't think people should attack the Red Sky episodes, we shouldn't start belittling the older episodes to make the Red Sky ones look better, either. Whichever version you prefer, you're always welcome to share your opinions, but it will keep things alot calmer in here if we focus more on boosting what we like as opposed to cutting down what we don't like.

Personally, I prefer the classic episodes by far, but there are still some aspects, such as the consistent animation and continuing storylines, that I prefer in the Red Sky episodes. In my opinion, there are both good points and bad points in each one.

That's how I look at anything TMNT related I wish more people could look at things this way.
While I wasn't bashing the old Toon I was trying to bring up a point of how they sort of lost sight of what the show was originally about somewhere in the middle of it all and really didn't get back to it until the later seasons of the CBS Saturday morning toons not just red sky.

I think Dregg was refreshing and different as he tricked people into thinking he is their friend and then behind their backs plot against them. I liked that twist and how he would threaten his minions and intimidate them. it just felt so different. there was the mutating thing and Carter the same season. it was ok, ok. the now late tony jay did good playing DRegg.

It was different. sad how 1995 season had no shredder and krang. 1995 was worlds apart from like 1989.

When I first saw the red sky episodes, I didn't like Dregg because he wasn't Shredder and Krang...now that I am older, I like Dregg & the red sky episodes because Shredder and Krang aren't the focus.

My favorite season will always be the 3rd, but I can enjoy the red sky eps because they bring consistant animation, more story arcs, and Shredder and Krang get back to being more badass(Shredder blew up Channel Six just because he could ), as they should be. After watching all the red sky episodes, I must say I am more impressed with Dregg and what he was able to accomplish in the few seasons he was around now then I was when the episodes first aired.

what if they had Zack in the red sky. They had casey jones though and Rat king.

it seems that less and less reoccuring characters had vanished.

STill Why did Burne, Vernon and IRma get written off (I know they blew up Channel 6 and they got moved to a smaller building) and April work for another TV Station with a new crew?

I know they never showed April get fired or show her resign!!!! I Saw all the red sky eps.

was there going to be season 11? but I bet clsoer to the last episode they knew the show would get cancelled

HOW DID DREGG NOT DIE WHEN IS SHIP BLEW UP DID HE GET OUT??? the sillyest red sky episode was mobster from Dimension X.

what went thorugh people's mind when there was no shredder and krang in season 9 after the technodrome was sucked in by the plant pit. in the first episode of that season (Season 9) did anyone expect Shredder and Krang in it? (That episode and season). I still noticed in the later red sky eps April took a backseat more.

If the store I worked at went ka-blewy, I would assume that there would be no need for a two weeks notice...

I know what you're saying, but you can read too much into things. One thing that has always been a bit scarce in the OT (including Red Sky) is logic.

Good to know I'm not the only one willing to admit that.

what do you wish they could have done more in in red Sky episodeS? Thery should have had like 10 eps instead of 8. Did the writters not think Shredder, Krang and Bebop and Rocksteady fit into the scheme of Things? and I still wonder why the Channel 6 crew were replaced even after they moved to a smaller Chgannel 6 building after Channel 6 blew up. Channel 8 crew was dull and will never replace Channel 8. It seems the writters did not think the stuff like VErnon scooping APril's stories would fit into Red sky series. I still wonder what people back in 1995 thought when Season 9 aired. tommarow is 12 years since the first ep of dregg aired (I know due to the airdates), but did not watch turtles by 1995. I still wonder what went through everyones mind when the first ep aired with no Shredder and KRang as they never missed out on being in the SEason premiere, and what they thought as the Season 9 eps went along and still no Shredder and Krang, and still no Burne, Vernon and Irma. I still find Season 9 as a break From Shredder and KRang. WHEN Shredder, KRang Bebop and Rocksteady were in the Technodrome in Turtle Trek when it got dragged down by the plant monster, what went through everyones mind then do you think and will they come back??

they never had action figures of the Red Sky series characters like the havoc mutant leader, Krakus, Megavolt, DRegg, Mung, hi-tech, technogangsters, April in the leather jacket with a Channel 8 cam, and Carter.

Maybe they realised that all that sh*t was old and done and had lived its life by that stage.

Dregg succeeded where other's failed? So the turtles actually died and that was the last episode?

Dregg did not kill the Turtles, he almost did at times. What he did was convince the humans he is their ally and they went into the future where Dregg had one (one ep in SEason 9)

And yet he did Shredder and Krang never did that they tried to same old things over and over.
I enjoy the entire old toon series as a whole give or take a few episodes.
I really enjoyed the red sky series and wish it had gone on a bit further before Dregg came along.
I don't really have any problems with Dregg at all even looking back on the episodes now and I think by them lowering the status of Krang & Shredder which happend way before Dregg even came about added allot to the characters and made them more believable.
& I know you're being sarcastic and all but have you watched all of these episodes? I have them all on tape from the day they first aired and Dregg as a character did do allot of things Shredder & Krang never got to do Dregg even almost killed Krang if it hadn't been for the new improved Red Sky version of Shredder escaping which really took the character back to when the show first started.

Ok, so he, with the same writters as krang and shredder, tried some new stunts, still NOT SUCCEEDING.

Hm. I think you've proven my point. Your origional statement was wrong.

Personally, it wasn't even an attack, aside from feeling like a power ranger reject, I really didn't have a problem with Dregg. I just don't have any dilusions about what he accomplished.

And yes. I have seen every episode of the show. Hence why I don't dislike Dregg.

Well he with the help of his compitent side kick mung did acomplish a few things like taking bits out of the turtles shells, tricking them into saving the vortex crystal that would cause them to have hyper mutations, then breaking the vortex crystal when leo was about to be cured.
It's just my point of view it's really not that big of a deal.
I honestly would rather of had Bezerko stay around longer instead of Dregg.

A question....

I apologize in advance if this has been previously mentioned, but
which episode was the first red sky episode? And what season was it? I haven't been able to find that mentioned on the official site's show listing.

Thanks,
Raphdude
