I would love a whole entire series based off of this one episode!

It really feels like they teased us and never gave us any more....

It's more like... what if the TMNT were all whisked away by Ultimate Drako, and all of them came back except Donatello?

Where donnie was..

"He's not specific. he just mentions that Donnie's been missing for 30 years."

The following is a TMNT Magazine spoiler (to those who havent read the issue yet).

Spoiler:
In the TMNT magazine theres an issue where the turtles are shown 30 years in the future. They all drifted apart.I don't really remember all the storylines. But, I remember Donnie's. He's shown meditating with splinter and seeing splinter die. Donnie is instructed to go spread his ashes in Japan. (now I know in SAINW splinter is buired in NY...but everything else seems to fit..) Donnie goes to spread Splinters ashes and then stays in Japan for those 30 years. He loses contact with his brothers and hides out basically. At one part of the story it shows Donnie doing some sort of stimulation workout and it brings up his brothers. If I remember right..the workout had him fighting him and his brothers when they were younger. After the workout it said that Donnie broke down and vowed to never do that workout again. So..apparently things ended badly somehow between them. Donnie seemed really upset over the younger/more bonded version of him and his brothers. After that he went on his way and stayed isolated in Japan. I read this online..when I find it again..I'll post a link. Its a much better story than what I just told. But...it seems to fit with the 30 year gap and donnie vanishing.

If it's a different dimension, wouldn't that have never happened? Because Don was in a different dimension, in his mind, it wouldn't have happened?
But the regular demension Don would remember it, right?

Back to the origional question, I just watched that episode again and I don't see any indication Leo was possibly blind. That had never even crossed my mind before reading this topic. I can kinda see how it might come across that way with those stupid glasses he wears in that one, but anyway. The fact that he didn't know it was Raph until Raph spoke doesn't really say much. I mean, (crossing universes here, so beware) he didn't even know Nightwatcher was Raph until the helmet came off?? Umm, how can you not recognize your own brother's fighting style and size/shape? I mean, CASEY figured it out for cryin' out loud! XD

Ok, sorry. Carry on people.

At the risk of blatantly offending some of you...that's one way Time Travel works. He was gone because he was traveling through time during that time: what happened very quickly for him (traveling to the future) happened in normal time for everyone else. This is time travel according to H.G. Wells' novel The Time Machine.

Teddy, I disagree with you about the glasses being stupid. Leo in that episode is supposed to be a Guardian--the Guardians are based on Matrix characters, and Leo in that episode is intended to be a less than subtle reference to Neo. Seriously guys, sometimes I think you guys are incapable of thinking deeply or making the connections between TMNT and other things that are culturally relevant. But then, I'm a pretty pretentious b@st@rd...

Yes. Yes you are. LOL.
Anyway I thought the same thing. Donnie was sent to the future when there was no Donnie for 30 years. That in caused no Casey, no Splinter and Hun/Stockman combo pack. Plus how old is Karai, cuz she looked way younger than April in that ep, but then again I guess Losing the people close to you ages you faster.

I always assumed he was blind. While thinking of the superhero-ish vigilante mantles the Turtles have had (Dark Turtle, Turtle Titan, and Nightwatcher), I could never find one for Leo (plaease correct me if I overlooked one...and no, I don't count that Musketurtles episode). I figured Leo's would be something like this and act as a Daredevil parody. I like the name Sight for his vigilante name.

Back of topic, they don't say if he's blind. Until a fiction makes that clear (which will never happen because it's just a what if story), it's all a personal preference. I prefer him being blind in SaiNW just because it makes him more wore like everyone else (I also like that he lost a sword over the years).

Uh, no...I totally got the Matrix reference. That's why I thought the glasses were stupid. That was one of the worst movie series EVER and I hate them.

No offense, of course.

Oh bah, wasn't this asked somewhere before? Could swear I recall a 'official' response with something along the lines of the script never specifying whether Leo was blind or not. It's totally up to the viewer?

Meh, can't be arsed to go looking for it now. But that's what I recall.
