I can't find ONE thing to complain about. Even the frickin theme song is stuck in my head. IT is MY OPINION that this new series is much better than the old series. People are nitpicking it in comparison to what they liked in the old toon. We have had 150+ episodes of the old toon. Let it RIP.

I have to agree with you... I had a friend that was making these arguments about the new MoTU and that the 80's one Was SOOO Much better that it hurt to watch the new one... So I pointed out to him how much better the animation is, the story telling, and how the original one talked down to us kids this one talks at us. I feel it's the same thing with the new TMNT. Overall, this show is so much better, in animation, story telling, acting and everyother way possible. as for the theme song at frist, I couldnt stand this new theme song and now I find it stuck in my head just as much as the old theme was :\

The TMNT are not Bind in the 80's. Nor is anything else bind to certain time. I.E. James Bond. It has always happened in the time, and has almost always worked. The new TMNT, is one of the rare shows where new versions becomes better than the original. We should be happy it happened this way.

i once again agree with karpo. in fact the old show was influenced by media so your wrong anyway. look at some episodes "attack of the big macc" media reference- short circuit , the character rex one media reference- robocop.

plus for the tmnt to be beleiveable teenagers they should mention current media THATS WHAT TEENAGERS DO!

as for the communicators, i like turtlecomm better than shell cell but it doesn't make the slightest bit of difference to the show and as for april, i'm not nuts about the design, but it's not bad.

So I don't like the Turtle comms being called Shell Phones, nor do I find April being a preppy bitch helping any either. Hell, I'm a kid at heart and I just want to see things get beat up and stabbed. Am I the only one who thinks sensless and uncalled for violence would make a great cartoon? Stories are good, but these are ninjas! THey should operate without reason or cause. They should punch people in the face, especially vegetarians. All the time. And the only story should be as follows:

Scene-Shredders Pagota Scraper
Shredder:"Release the foot to kick some ass! And possibly steal a really cool weapon or acid catapult!"
Random Henchmen-"Aye, Sir"

Scene(2)-Turtles Lair
Splinter-"My pupils, Saki has once again placed the city under siege!"
Leonardo-"Then we shall kill all things that bear the symbol of the Foot!"

Scene(3)-Just For Feet Store. Turtles beating crap out of stuff and what not. Shredder bursts in with foot. Everyone fights. People get asses kicked and kicked hard. Some can't even sit down afterwards because pain in ass so great.
Shredder-"Crap, this always happens! Foot! Light everything on fire!"
Shredder and Foot escape.
The End.

See? that was great! I would watch that all day long. Because cartoons are an escape from reality! Cartoons were made for action! Thats why Gem and My Little Pony sucked! MOTU, GI Joe, Ninja Turtles, Ghostbusters, Mega Man, Batman, Spider Man, etc. were all incredible shows because none of them had any real indepth story (Dont get me wrong, if the new TMNT does have a really good story I would be over joyed) but honestly, the only cartoon to date that kicked ass and had a story was X-Men. Oh, and the 80's kicked ass. They should have Poison and Scorpions do all the themes for the new TMNT. Kidding. (Scorpions would rock though). Arrrgh de Har.

Original TMNT had death in it, the TMNT defeated their enemies and got wounded sometimes. This cannot ever be fully seen in cartoon. In Original TMNT Saki died off screen in explosion, and they can probably do something similar if they want to. We have seen that the show can have off screen death, So they can probably pull it trough.

Parents would be irate and they would change the show from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" to "Young Adult Completely Average in Every Way Sharing Love Turtles". And everything would get real sappy like they do anymore in cartoons.

The show is wonderful. I didn't think the new theme song could live up to the original, BUT IT DOES!!!!

Many years ago Pokemon came out. I hated it. I still do. I let it influnce my opinion of all Anime, so when say.....Sailor Moon came out, I dumped on it. Later I realised I was judging a show without watcching it. So I watched it. I havent loved a show that much since TMNT. My point is that an animated series dosen't need to be just pointless stabbing and killing to be worth watching. TMNT wasn't just pointless action either. They kicked butt if they had a reason to. And yes it will have a good story. We know this because it is based off the Mirage storyline. And APRIL IS NOT A 16 YEAR OLD SEX POT!! Nor is she a bitch so quit trashing the new TMNT. If yo want a completely pointless show wih no value, then go watch (dare I speak the devil's name) Power Rangers or something & leave us true TMNT fans alone.

I dunno, cartoons are a lot more lax than they used to be. Remember Gargoyles? They had death, blood (Eliza getting shot, for example), and even a *gasp* pregnant character (Fox). At one point, Angela actually died, on screen. Granted, she was saved by CPR and a good day's sleep, but still...

Yeah the new toon definately pales in comparison to the old one. tutles only make sense in the 80's so i'm just waiting for this new show to crumble like next mutation
