Well, wouldn't putting the color coded bandanas on the cover grab more casual Tmnt fans anyways? I mean, not that I want them to change it but that would make the most sense. It's just gonna confuse the casuals when they see all these covers with red bandana turtles but the interiors are rainbow turtles. My thoughts are if IDW were planning on changing the bandana colors then these covers wouldn't feature all red Tmnt's. Maybe all the hysteria is for nothing. lol. Who knows.

There may also be a slim possibility that the cover was done in advance of the colour change. I'm working on the covers to Ghostbusters #9 through to #12 and I know we aren't up to scripting those yet. Heck I don't even think #7's been scripted yet... We're working on #6 right now...

Well, that's a let down. The turtles just look so rad wearing red. I hope we get these exact covers.

That was my thinking. That these have been done for a while and the color change came after. I mean deadlines and such have to be meet and sometimes things don't happen tell after the deadline.

Agreed. His style has totally grown on me, and damn, that cover is awesome. I'm pleased and satisfied that the mousers are back. Leo looks badass.

I don't think it's that his style has grown on me -- my taste remains the same -- but rather it's just legitimately that he is getting better as he's going.

I didn't care about Infestation 2 before, but when I heard more about it, it sounds like it has a lot of potential. A TMNT/Cthulhu mythos crossover could be a lot of fun!

Tristan he must not have known you were doing it. Or at least that's the only thing I could think.

Hey since we are having multiple-dimensional travel any chance you threw Cuddly into the book?

We'll see. I had to cut a couple of cameos I really loved (my choice -- the progression of the writing meant the moments they were suited to were no longer relevant). As horrifying as a giant cow head floating in space is, I dunno how suitable it is to this particular story.

The cut character appearances were Ace Duck, Lin and Bishop before people ask All of them were fine to use, but the story just didn't necessitate them any more. Had too many loose ends at the end of the story and I streamlined it a bit more.

That said, there are still a couple in there I'm very happy with and when I saw the first appearance of one of them by Mark I was grinning like an idiot.

Ace Duck makes no sense unless he's an intergalactic wrestler.

None of it makes any sense unless you write it a particular way, and there's always more than one way of doing anything... mostly...

He was a Nazi Smasher on TV. It was a fun, throwaway panel that pushed into something else more pertinent to the story.

Creator owned? I still have Six to the Head coming out through FEC Comics early next year, I'm working with very well known Australian film director on a horror book set during WW2 next year, and I am currently working with Chris DiBari (who's doing great stuff with Top Cow) on a horror graphic novel which, right now, looks like it'll be published by Gestalt and I'm going to be jumping into straight after everything is done on Infestation.

I'm also roughing out a loose adaptation of the Wind in the Willows (which I may end up drawing as well as writing) and am SLOOOOWLY putting together something called The Exodus Project, which is sort of my "creator-owned dream book", but that's a LONG way off yet, and there are other priorities right now over the creator owned stuff (there are a couple of licensed books I'm keen to take a stab at if they're still around after Infestation and if the opportunities are there). There are two other ideas I'm playing with that have a bit of form, but time being what it is...!

But yeah, Ghostbusters and TMNT are Priority One right now, so it's an interesting time. I think next year's going to be very interesting, but none of this would be happening if it weren't for you guys, so I'm hugely grateful for all the support people have shown!

Tom showed us a page of #6 that had the guys ghosting the two ninja who infiltrated Stock Gen. Hopefully someone catches an ass whooping.

Very true, but starting with #4 (and apparently #5 for Eastman) the Duncan covers have been good representations of what happens in the actual book.

I had seen on twitter where you said you worked on the cover for #8 along with Dan. What exactly are you doing, backgrounds?

If they were going to go for depictions of realistic martial arts then for starters Raph would need to start wielding his sai in proper form.

This is not a gripe toward anyone, though it may come across as one.

thanks tristan for the reply, I think what I meant was indeed that creator owned dream book you may have been talking about...does it in any way feature dinosaurs?thought I read something like that....
anyway these books sound and feel allright to me!
and I knew about ace's in toon tv-appearance and read his 'backstory' on the toy package....I really liked the character and always wished there was a serious fun story starring him somewhere...

The dream book is probably going to feature dinosaurs in a similar way to Prometheus featuring the Alien... but I've got another dinosaur book I'm mulling over set in the late 70's as well.
