Just joined up for the current series -- I'll use IDW's app to read the issues I missed. (I've read #1, Donetello-micro, and the two-issues of Infestation) I got back issues of #9, 10, 11, and am hoping my shop will deliver in getting a copy of issue #12. And the Leonardo and Casey Micros as well. (If anyone wants to complain that this series is leaning too far towards the 1980s cartoon - that issue certainly seemed to dispel the idea that these issues are made for a younger audience. "Look kids! Child abuse!"

And yeah, I was disappointed to see Duncan go so soon after jumping onboard - but he looks like a good artist, and should do well for the series. One thing I learned to appreciate from Tales of TMNT, seeing different artists - not alway the high-profile guys - you get to see a better detail what makes them unique artist. Plus, it keeps up the series' indy-cred.

I'd like to know - I saw a TPB of this in a comic store. It had this cover, and 3 other editions had different covers, published by Heavy Metal. 25th Anniversary TPB; are that a rare TPB. (I doubt it, since there where 4 copies. Cover price of $20. But since TMNT TPBs can easily become hard-to-find items, I was curious wether I should have picked it up or not.

Is this a real panel? It looks like Vol 2 of Tales of TMNT. There certainly should have been animosity against Bay before the sale to Nickelodeon.

Basicly - are the words real? Or photoshopped? (Either way, it's pretty funny)

The background image is actually by Laird; it's one of his old pre-TMNT pieces. You can find it in Gobbledygook Vol. 2 #1.

The foreground images of the Turtles were cut n pasted over it for the ad. Presumably Laird also drew them, but it's hard to tell for sure.
