@The Deadman & Wesley:
I'm sorry. First of all, I have a very bad sense of sarcasm. Secondly, I've had too many bad experiences from forums in the past, mostly because of posts I made just for fun. Also, I've already had to condemn the entire fighting game community because 90% of those people were extremist opinion nazis. So is it really my fault that I have to be like this?

I was gonna restrict myself to only posting on here about stuff I need help with or stuff I need to know about, but if you can prove to me that I can just mellow out here and have fun, then I will...

That's completely up to you. No one is in charge of your feelings but you. It can be a fun, productive, uplifting, and/or a cool hang out spot here. Also, $hitty. Just like anything and anyplace else.
Also, depending on where you hang out here:
- mods are re-active not pro-active
- you'll need to learn about the 'ignore' function
- some regulars have signatures that take up a whole thread page after 3 posts

But you'll find your way. As long as your forum expectations aren't outrageous, it's all good in this hood.

I'm very happy with this setup, and I just want you people to be OK with this. If you're not, and if you come in here trashing me or try forcing me to change one or all of my favorites to your liking, then I quit. I hate opinion nazis. I'll respect your favorites and opinions as long as you respect mine...
As long as I know there is no ACTUAL bashing or hate between the series.
I 100% prefer the 2003 version, but I've seen the 1987 and the 2012 versions too before coming up with this idea.

Obliviously you have to take consideration that this is a discussion forum, and you can't be overly sensitive since everyone has the right to criticise.
I don't think there will ever be someone here who would just come up to you and say: "F#@* you, you stupid 1987 fan" or something like that.

By the way, I think that neatoman explains way better what I mean:

There's nothing to prevent you from liking these things or expressing the opinon that you like these things.

However, it does not mean someone isn't going to argue with you. Nor does it mean there are not legitimate arguments against what you like. And if you can't argue in favour of what you like without resorting to "that's just your opinion and I have mine", or throwing out obviously flawed arguments, then there isn't much point in defending the quality of what you like, is there? If we can't argue about the quality of TMNT products, why even have a TMNT forum?

Most of them actually are generic beat-em-ups, but that doesn't mean they are not fun!

You're the most awesome person here.

EDIT: Having skimmed the rest of this thread, I once again feel the need to point out that what some people call "bashing" in no way constitutes such. And that certain people who love the FW cartoon are certainly entitled to their opinion but would be well-served not to be so thin-skinned about it.

I mean, if any individual feels entitled to a full-blown meltdown simply because someone points out that a lot of the scripts were recycled from other shows, for one example, then that person has an issue because making an objective statement of fact in service to the larger conversation about the show simply isn't "bashing" anything. Stuff like tone and humor are matters of personal taste and shouldn't really be argued about - discussion and debate should still be acceptable, obviously - but saying things like, "Well, some parts of it, they simply didn't work very hard on"... that's not "bashing", those are facts. And if a person can't separate A from B, then yeah, they're gonna have a bad time.

Certain people take issue with ANY flaws in the FW show being pointed out, and call it "bashing", and that simply isn't true in the slightest. Some people are simply hyper-sensitive. I've never seen anyone here tell anyone that they "aren't allowed" to like stuff like the FW cartoon or whatever. But I'd also say that a person just in general shouldn't be so fanatical that they can't handle it when a person makes a calm and impartial statement of fact. That's how these things are supposed to work.

.....None of that applies to people who like the BayTurtles films from Platinum Dunes, however. I will forever maintain that anyone who likes those movies is a terrible person and a sleeper agent of Satan, put here on Earth to sow discord in preparation for the coming of the Antichrist. Because there's NO other explanation for having taste that bad!

Sorry to hear about that. I didn’t understand sarcasm either when I was younger so I can relate.

What this poster said. I prefer the 2003 series, but I still kinda like the 1987 one. I’m actually rewatching season 2 at the moment and it’s pretty good.

To put it into perspective: A lot fans here blame the 80's series for how TMNT evolved. So a lot of the blame for the Fred Wolf series comes from TMNT as a property being seen as for kids. A lot of users here categorise the 80's series as a comedy rather than an action adventure series with comedy.

Certain users here will try to say they don't trash the series while making bad taste April Fools posts about it "because no one cares about that series" while arguing my complaints aren't justified. Those are the people to watch out for. Normalising hate towards something that objectively is good or you see value in is the worst thing someone on here can do. Feel free to message me if you want to chat further about this.

All of your favorites are good even if they aren't necessarily my favorites in every area, that's what makes our community great... diversity in thought

Donatello needs more representation as a fan fav so thanks for carrying that torch

@pferreira: Why are you quoting my quit message when I said in my last post that I was gonna stick around?

@Andrew NDB: Even though this is the first time we've actually interacted, I've already labeled you as not just the worst person on this entire forum, but a f'n Hitler-wannabe as well, due to you butting into and being extremely negative about EVERYTHING except your oh-so-precious Mirage. In fact, you trashing every version of Donatello except the Mirage version in another thread is what forced me to make this thread in the first place!

You are my enemy. This is your only warning, stay away from me or I'll report you, not to the mods, but to an anti-bullying organization. I'm not taking any crap from you. Period.

Literally Hitler is the worst possible argument you can make on this forum.

I hope you are joking, LGN-76.

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

Nope. I'm done. Thank Adolf NDB for single-handedly condemning this shithole. May God have mercy on his piss-filled carcass.

Goodbye.

The 80s cartoon is worse than eating donkey droppings and anyone who likes it is a doo-doo face.

Good old forum drama. If there isn't a movie or something to have it over, we'll just make it up as we go.

Don't know. Some people here are... Oddballs, to say the least. Or at the very least overly protective of their opinions.

Goodness. Why do you care so much about what some nobody on a dusty cobweb forum thinks about your favorite version of a character? Trust me NDB has no power or influence on anybody important. If you don't like his opinion just ignore him. Like I do.
