Now THAT sounds like bashing...gee, can't we have a thread WITHOUT this, there was a point to this you know, only discuss what you LIKED about Volume Four.

If it's going to degenerate into more biased "I Hate Volume Four" coments, better to keep a distance from this thread.

As for what I like, pretty much everything. I'm not crazy about some of Lawsons humans or his fight scenes, but I'm not clamoring for him being replaced (unless it's Chris Allan ). And despite what Splinter the poster says, I thought Splinter the rat's death was very well done.

I liked that he killed off Splinter, finally. You got the feeling for most of the time TMNT was around that Splinter was a temporary character. In the Movie, he hints at it.. even the Image comic poked fun at Splinter's penchant for the deathlydramatic.

So to see him finally go. I was happy.

I just don't like the follow up. The Turtles react to it by.. splitting up again? They were disjointed at the end of Vol 1.. split further in Vol 2... now they're doing it again?

What else do I like? The Utroms having a big part in the book. Fugitoid coming back... Renet (even if she's oddly old and remorseful.. I liked her peppy demeanor). I'm happy that we're getting to se the best of the old cast appear. I like that the storyline is continuous, and realistic... I just don't care for the plot that's being continued..

Esp since it's ignoring the Image book, but doing many similar, yet watered down versions of the same thing. Maybe if Peter had done them first, I'd be happier with it. I dunno.

hrmmm

I love the progressive, evolving, and "organic" (to use Laird's own term) nature of the story. It keeps you wanting to buy more.

This really *feels* like the a reincarnation of the Mirage series of old. I really love it.

Some people are too busy looking at form, that they completely miss out on the substance of art.

And by "some", I mean "most".

*chuckles*
