I agree. April has grown to like him...but only when he's being himself, as her friend. He isn't forcing her to like him, nor is he threatening or getting into tiffs with Casey about who should be with April. In fact the last few episodes where it seems like they are building up April and Casey as a couple, he's just stood aside and didn't even acknowledge it. He knows it's happening and it's painful more then likely. But he has other things he needs to concern himself with.

Do people honestly think they're going to ever see a fully-formed "relationship" between a human being and a mutant turtle? Parents... would... flip. There's no way. Sapient beings or not, mutants or not, "hybrid DNA" or not, 99% of parents would see it as flat-out bestiality, and they'd flip their sh*t, and then that's the end of the show. If anything, you best hope they don't go there, if you want the show to last. I understand it's natural to entertain the notion, and it's Nick's fault for even allowing it to be used as a plot point, but... I think people are projecting a little bit too much of what they want to see into the material, honestly.

It's not that I have a huge problem with the idea itself. I don't. I've made more "Ah, c'mon, they all banged April" jokes than anyone alive. But... it's a Nickelodeon show. It's like how we all KNEW Ren & Stimpy were gay, but so long as the show was on Nick, they were never gonna say so. You gotta consider the source as well as the wider audience.

• Before April is even properly introduced Donnie's pathetically in love with her. Nobody even gets to know her name before Donnie's thinking with his dick.
• Donnie only wanted to save April in various circumstances because he thinks she's attractive and that saving her would get him points
• Donnie taking pictures of April without her permission
• Donnie using robots to spy on her
• Donnie following her when she told the turtles she didn't want to see them [it ending up saving her notwithstanding because he is still disrespecting her wishes]
• A picture of her is his ****ing computer wallpaper
• lmao at this point I'm just being a broken record I think I'll watch through the entire show and point out every instance of April being shitted on by the turtles instead and then just link to it whenever anybody tries to defend Donatello's awful behaviour

Even with all that, nothing you said goes beyond episode 7 and you still didn't give a single reason from season 2.

• His worst fear is rejection. By April. At least I think this was a season 2 episode it was an awful episode

And yes I do plan on watching them all. But of course, since I hate 2k12, it's not too high on the priority list.

I never denied that some of his behaviors were creepy. Shell, they point that out in the show. I said that he wasn't a nice guy, and you said nothing to prove that he was. The only point that would stand to such would be that he only saved her to gain points, which is not true. If it were, then he wouldn't have saved Casey too, as Casey is his romantic rival. He wouldn't have saved Timothy; that gained him nothing from April. Yes, he cared about her and saved her because he did, but he didn't do it to score points with her. He did it because that's who he is. And how does a fear of rejection make him a Nice Guy? That's pretty normal. Liking April doesn't inherently make him a bad guy.

I'd also like to point out that he has zero human socialization, so it's a learning process into what is okay and what is not okay.

His worse fear I thought was fearing losing April's friendship again after just recently mending it due to his being a mutant since he's obviously self-conscious about it. I only say this because of what April was saying at the beginning. The romance and crush thing felt completely secondary.

Again, when has he used the chart since episode 7.

It was just collection of scenarios where he can get April to hang out with him. And all plausible responses. Such as saying if she's busy with homework, offering to assist where she needs it and bringing healthy snacks for the two of them to enjoy. That is something friends do. He is just wanting to spend time with her and get to know her as a friend.

While not specifically stated, I'm sure he has response for "No, I don't need help with homework. But thanks for offering."

The way you are making it sounds it's like he is setting up situations for her to climb in bed with him.

Well, he only used it once, and he never used it again, so who cares? It was just about finding scenarios in which he could hang out with April and get to know her. I admit, some of the things he's done have been creepy, but at least he's not one of those types who abuses and disrespects women. And as has been stated, his crush has been toned down a lot recently.
