"PEPE" made me happy today! I bought 3 dollars using Basic Attention Token (which was free) and bought Pepe with it which is now worth 40 dollars!
Wow! Now I can buy pizza tonight for the family during the Tyson fight! -ahem- |

Looks like they've been suggesting it a while with no success so far, can't imagine why. lol
Granted, humans surely used to partly survive on bugs (with the remaining exceptions that still do), but I feel like that might be a little hard to go back to that once we figured out better hunting and growing crops that were much more worth the effort. Mmm... imagine a bowl of meal worms with you milk for breakfast. Yeah, I'll pass. The future: "Yeah, can I get the #6 Value Meal...worms." |

Never tried bugs but apparently they were a major protein source for our distant ancestors and more healthy than lots of the stuff we consume on a daily basis. I'm always open to try new stuff.

Wrangler people, at least those who know "the wave" is a thing.
Don't see all that many fellow TJ models out there anymore since the newer ones have taken over. Sitting in the left turn lane of a wide intersection I see a fellow TJ pull up into the left turn opposite of me. Now, I love these things like some people love dogs, so of course I commented "Hey, another TJ" to myself. Then I see the hand over the steering wheel waving from across the intersection, clearly long enough to make sure I see them, and of course returned it. Telling you, if the apocalypse comes and I'm among the survivors, I'll me finding myself a gang/tribe of Wrangler owners. (I'm sure the crossbred trucks will be allowed, too, since they kind of got adopted in, being a Wrangler up front and all.) |

Who paired this cel with that background...
Edit: Finally found a reasonably priced Leo cel I like, with the bonus of included matching original production drawing, too. Last edited by IndigoErth; 12-09-2024 at 09:52 PM. |

I'm having a look at the guests who are coming to Megacon Live in Dublin next month. Sophie Aldred is going to be at it. I really liked Ace in the Sylvester McCoy Doctor Who stories. Paul McGann is going to be there too and Kristian Nairn (Holdor). There are a couple of others going to be there too. The Spring Edition Dublin Comic Con is in March too. They're meant to be announcing the guests for that soon.

What made me happy today is shopping at my favorite Japanese grocery store, Mitsuwa of Chicago, for soup ingredients. Afterall, it is suppose to be real cold here this and next week. A good time to make my favorite Japanese soups, like miso with a block of medium firm tofu and seaweed; and udon with eggs, seaweed and fish cake. Yum!
I was able to get $25 off because of a pre-paid Visa card my aunt sent me for Christmas. So instead of paying $51.??, I ended up paying $27.89 for authentic Japanese food and snacks. I love Japan and if I ever get the chance and money, I would visit the former cultural capital of Kyoto. |

Saw this on the back end of a bus yesterday.
I'm not even sure why she's sitting in a trash can, didn't have time to pay attention to the text, but the unintentional placement of lights on the bus creating a glowing pair of Mikey Mouse ears just really ties it all together.

Small wins, I guess. My hacked Twitter/X account at least now shows a message about being temporarily restricted due to unusual activity. Hopefully that's a step toward it being closed.
I've reported so many posts as spam and tried to flood the jackass with password reset requests... glad to see the effort might have finally flagged it. Dug up someone else's account that looks identical and appears to have been hacked just recently too... reported a bunch of that as well for more leverage. |

I got my SSI this morning (so far nothing unusual from the government), paid off my Visa debt card, bought 4 Japanese karate headbands (one of which is a replica that Ralph Macchio had in Karate Kid movies), and 19 movies cheap from Apple TV, and went out of all-you-can eat sushi and Cantonese dinner to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Everything I bought today costed less than $250 and I still have plenty of money left to pay for my usual obligations (gas for the house and auto insurance).
Life is great. |

How much SSI do you get a month? Close to $250 sounds like a lot for one day.

Here are my obligations that don't include pleasure spend: Gas for the house: $29 Car Insurance (in the process of changing companies for a lower rate): $99.65 now Food: Paid for by SNAP Most of what's left is spent either on pleasure or what's left at the end of the each month, I save and let it build away from being able to be tracked. |

Buying 19 movies on a fixed income when there are plenty of free streaming options available is a choice.

I enjoyed watching arcade and pinball videos that I downloaded from before but I watched on my Blu-Ray player's MP4 format. I saw this one video where the tech guy was one I admire because he is a software engineer during the day, then he comes home to his 40 arcade game collection at night and sometimes he refurbishes them. That's sounds like a dream life for someone like me, because I like to work with my hands and mind on tech devices like PC desktops, gaming consoles, home theater, and arcade machines.
I figure some day in the distant future I'd work at Best Buy part-time and develop my own software I can sell online and enjoy my future gaming collection. Just me and my bros playing classic games and scarfing down cheese burgers or cheese fries or mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce, or bratwurst and/or Papa John's pizza. My buddy would drink either Fiji water or whatever and I'd have a Coors Light. Arr, arr, arr, arr, YEEEEAH!!!!!! |

My mom took off on a flight to Arizona to visit my brother for his birthday on Thursday and I celebrated her going by drinking several cans of beer (I got dizzy from doing that), watching arcade videos and reading funny, yet relatable comments on YouTube videos about why men hate Valentine's Day (AKA: International MGTOW Day), I got to talk to my best friend on the phone and we bonded and now I'm watching Tim The Tool Man Taylor on my flash drive I have plugged into my Blu-ray player.
