The whole roster is probably going to be leaked by Japanese fans within the next 2 days. I guess it depends how fast someone can play through the game and unlock all the characters. Hopefully there's at least 3-4 characters left that weren't on that previous leaked roster since All-Star mode still had a lock on it. People also discovered there is space on the CSS for 5 more character slots on the 3DS screen.

If its 5 more characters, I imagine they'll be Wolf, Mewtwo, Ice Climbers, Ridley and Dixie Kong. Lucas is probably cut unless he becomes an alt costume for Ness.

Ugh. I don't even wanna think about how long it'll take to unlock the characters. I don't know why, but SSB has the most demanding, tedious character unlocks of any fighter I've ever played. There are Melee characters I still don't have...

I don't find this true at all. None of them are even SLIGHTLY difficult, especially in Brawl where playing through the SSE unlocked absolutely everything. In fact, unlocking characters is one of the most fun parts of Smash to me. And if there are Melee characters you've somehow not unlocked then you didn't play it much. Every character has always had a faster but more specific unlock method, as well as a simple play X number of matches unlock, so simply playing the game a bunch ensured you'd get everyone. And outside of Mewtwo, Luigi and MAYBE Mr. G&W the unlocks pretty much revolved around simply playing all the modes.

It was just as bad with Melee. Everyone assumed he was going to be in because of the opening cinematic. Even when they first announced the game with the opening cinematic, Ridley got a ridiculous applause from the crowd.

I played Metroid Fusion recenly, which was my first Metroid game ever. And even though Ridley's role in that was small, I enjoyed the game so much that I'd love to see another Metroid character.

But at the end of the day it didn't matter that much to me because the inclusion or exclusion of one or two characters doesn't kill my interest in a game.

Me either, I think you have to go in to mixed roster games with some what of an open mind, but that also will not stop me supporting the characters I want to see.

I haven't played Melee in a while and don't really remember how to unlock each fighter, but I did that easily when i was a kid back in 2002. What was so tedious and difficult about it? You unlocked them by beating the main game mode, the story mode or by beating those scenarios/missions. Don't tell me you actually left the GC on for 20 hours to unlock Mewtwo. Because there was an alternative method to do so.

Ridley has been in almost every Metroid game. He killed Samus' parents when she was a child. He's the leader of the Space pirates and is very intelligent. He's Samus' arch enemy like Bowser or Ganondorf are.

Ridley deserved to be playable since Melee if not Brawl at the latest.

I think Ridley's probably playable, if we're getting more characters, Ridley is almost a gaurantee.

Wolf is a pretty pointless character to add in, no matter how you cut it. The problem with his inclusion is that Falco already is a Fox clone, and Wolf sure seems like a Fox clone as well... once you unlock Wolf and see he's just another clone, you don't want to play as him.

Plus who in the world wants to play as Wolf? Even freaking Slippy Toad would have been a better choice.

Agreed. To say he should be in because he's a villain but then dismiss Dark Pit is contradictory. Wolf is just pretty much a Dark Fox.

Wolf is not even remotely close to being a clone. If you've ever actually played as Fox and Wolf, you'd realise that Wolf shares 1 move (down -b), and his Final Smash with Fox, and the Final Smash is an item so it barely counts. That's about what Ike shares with Marth (although there could be more similarities between Ike and Marth, I'm not sure as they were my two least used Smash Bros characters in Brawl).

Wolf is the third most popular Star Fox character. There was a rather large group of people supporting his inclusion pre-Brawl.

He was a logical addition to the roster. Attacking someone because they like a character is moronic, and I won't stand for two dickheads constantly flaming people.

Wolf is a bit player in a C-tier Nintendo franchise that hasn't had a new installment in nearly a decade. A franchise that's over represented as it is. Clone or not he adds nothing to the roster as a whole.
