It would also explain the plot inconsistencies, cartoon physics and pseudo science. Dreams are just so random, maaan.

I can be on board with that if... we get one of the little Turtles running in to wake dad up because he had a bad dream. "Me too, my son... Me too..."

Or they could just work in the Whole reincarnation Aspect, Which would be more then easy to do and IDW has plenty of other aspect they can pick from,

I agree this was a horrible storyline, definitely the weakest part of the movie. The plot was so stale and inconsistent it took me out of the movie at times.

Predictable.
Though, there are minor chance, that it will stuck in development hell for some reason, but I am afraid it won't be the case. Oh, well, another Bay-O-Rama incoming.

Hell no. I hate reincarnations. I was waiting for the reviews to be spoiled on purpose because I wanted to find out if the Turtles or Splinter was reincarnated in any way from some previous life, that would most certainly be the straw that broke the camel's back for me. So far, the Turtle's portrayals, eliminating Leo twerking in the elevator and reincarnation stories left out are what I find positive in this movie.

Look, I like the thought of the Turtles and Splinter are products of a purely random act, no preset destiny was assigned to them from birth. This is what I find so appealing. They weren't extraordinary beings like one of the super powered X-Men, Captain America, Thor or Superman, not rich like Batman and Ironman, with unlimited resources to their disposal. They were just more or less, individuals who worked their asses off to get where they were through good ole training and great mentoring.

Hopefully with the origin story out of the way we can really focus more on a bigger scope for this movie. It's just like in Spider-Man and X-Men, they're kind of tied down story wise because they have to explain a lot of things. In a sequel you have more free reign to have adventure and better story telling usually. There are so many existing villains already with Shredder, Karai, The Foot Clan, Eric Sacks, and Dr. Baxter Stockman, the villains won't be hard to come by. I hope if some of these villains don't make it in the next one, some of them and maybe Krang should be in the third one.

So because you didn't like a movie, you're petitioning to have the next one canceled? So because I don't like the Step Up movie means that I should've petitioned to have the others canceled? What happened to just not watching a movie we didn't like? Not to mention it's kind of ridiculous to think you'll be able to stop a major production because of some signatures in the first place. I think you need a hobby.

It's pointless, man. The film will turn a profit. You are literally asking them to stop liking money.

Two months ago I would not have thought I'd be in support of a sequel, but at this point... at the very least I feel like it needs one to at least patch up what they should have done differently and not leave it off where it currently stands.

Beautifully put. Completely agree. It's part of the characters' charm.

Yeah, but why would they 'patch anything up'? The makers don't think they did anything wrong.

These are the same people who kept saying 'we won't use Megan as a sex symbol' (cue Mikey's constant pick-up lines or 'shell tightening', or Will Arnett checking out her ass')....or 'it'll have fight scenes like The Raid & Fist of Legend'....sure it did,

To them, they won. It's making money, there are people who enjoyed it...so to them, they did a 'good job' and will just do the same thing. Just like Transformers 1-4.

The X-Men? Batman? Thor? Captain America? Come on, none of those guys wanted to be what they are now before they became what they are. Batman and captain America did train, to better them selves as fighters, the same goes for the x-men. Why else would there be that special room at charles xavier's place? What happened to some of them wasn't immediately handed to them when they were born or made and not fully developed, what lead to their current state came later on, they weren't chosen to become some kind of hero. Oh, and superman didn't want to be a hero either ever since he was made, the same goes for thor.
