A lot of kids that go to a local daycare all like Mikey, most high schoolers I know who know about TMNT, seen some form of TMNT, like Mikey, most of the adults I know like Mikey. All of these people either watched the 2k3 or OT. I have never came across someone IRL who disliked Mikey for being stupid, they usually liked him for it.

Pfft, I think Mikey is boring as hell in the comics. It is just my opinion though.

I suppose a better question would be, do these alleged fans enjoy the tmnt to the point of spending money on such entertainment? Are the turtles a main interest or are these people simply aware of the turtles and their significance to pop culture? Anyone who hears the OT theme once knows Mike is a party dude. Which is fine. It worked well for that series. I think the point I am trying to make is fans have painfully watched Mike's character succumb to the unfortunate caricature painted by the OT. Thankfully, it stayed out of the comics of the most part.

). I am not so arrogant as to believe everyone should feel as I do. However, it has been my experience that you, Orangey may be in the minority on this issue.

Nope, most aren't even casual fans. I only know like 2 actual TMNT fans IRL and they are adults who watched the OT. Not to many people care about TMNT enough to actually do any of that. I don't even do most of the things you mentioned.

Like Neutrino said, all opinions are welcome here, but this statement leads me to believe you just haven't read very many Mirage TMNT comics.

I have read like 25 or so of the comics and they aren't that good. I kind of think the comics suck v.v Not my cup of tea.

I never found Mikey an actual idiot on the 2k3 series, but very annoying since he would try to steal the spotlight. He just acts like an idiot sometimes, I will admit. But he was never useless. None of the turtles are useless.

Now for the new series, I want a cross from the Mirage Comics Mikey to the Mikey in the 2k7 film. I wouldn't mind that.

To be fair, there are definitely better comics out there than tmnt. I can understand comic book fans who wouldn't like ninja turtles

It's just TMNT for me as well. The mirage books manage to be completely boring and off the wall bananas at the same time. It's a feat but not a feat that I would ever care to read on a regular basis or at all.

There's a handful of Mirage stinkers out there (mostly in Tales V.2, mid-Volume 1, and pretty much all of Volume 4) but I love them for the most part. Quintessential TMNT if you ask me.
