Live Action Korean TMNT show...? - Page 3

**Nturtle** · 08-07-2005, 11:09 AM

Alright, I have reason to believe that this madness is from a film called Our Friend Power 5

*Weapon X* · 08-07-2005, 12:42 PM

I think you right.

*Sewer Bull* · 08-07-2005, 12:48 PM

Now we should send a trooper to Korea who will be able to steal the tape from a hidden vault.

*Weapon X* · 08-07-2005, 12:49 PM

I guess that will be me, see yah in a week.

*Sewer Bull* · 08-07-2005, 01:35 PM

We all are so proud of thee, Sir.

*shuriken* · 08-08-2005, 08:31 PM

Damn they're hideous. It might be a result of a Korean acid trip gone wrong.

*Weapon X* · 08-08-2005, 08:37 PM

And we all know what those are like.

*Tetsu Deinonychus* · 08-09-2005, 01:07 AM

Here's a translated page about the film: Our friend Power 5.

And, here it is in it's original Korean.

I REALLY must see this movie!

I just thought of something! That movie was made in 1989. The TMNT cartoon was made in 1988. Now, I'm not sure but it seems to me that Korea couldn't have seen the cartoon at the time this movie was made.

Someone involved in this movie got ahold of a Mirage-book!

NECRO-POST TIME!

I finally came across an excerpt from this film, though it is (as expected) without subtitles.

I was gonna post this in a thread that had last been bumped in in 2009 or 10 but I couldn't find it.

**Jester** · 09-24-2013, 01:35 PM

Dear lord that's freaky....

Wish it was dubbed...or at least subtitled so fans could dub it like the OVA.

Also who wouldn't kill for the giant Turtle or Rat statues they had on the bridges.

*Powder* · 09-24-2013, 01:40 PM

I'm still hoping I can track it down sometime. I may have a means to but I'm waiting to hear back on that. All I can find is this same clip hosted on one or two different Korean websites. But yeah man those weirdo props are awesome as hell.

Bob · 09-24-2013, 02:04 PM

I think Michael Bay must've stumbled upon that clip.

**Jester** · 09-24-2013, 05:24 PM

Just saw Ciro's post on Facebook. Hope he can help you out

I approve of this necro-post.

Fairly good animation mixed with horrendous bootlegged live-action costumes!
