Can't wait, I really hope they do make slash a hero for one ep and in the next make him go bad s@#t crazy!
Strange how I want a crazy and dark ep, like I, Monster, but everyone wants a dark episode sometimes (:

Maybe Raph will become friends with Casey Jones if this doesn't work out. Let's say he doesn't like Casey Jones until Slash goes rogue.

Anyways - this is definitely a drastic change from the origin of Slash, but I am perfectly fine with this take.

It's just that tiny head that bothers me. Maybe like Karai's hair, I'll get used to it. Eventually, when things are done on screen, it looks better than as a still.

Kinda figured this was what was coming, since with Casey not being Feldman, this was the next obvious 'connected to Raph' route they could go. Pretty cool looking design too, can't wait to see this guy in action.

And yeah, I don't think they're going to make the mistake of having a permanent fifth Turtle. The writers of this show have done great so far, and I'm sure they know the um, 'issues', with that idea.

What I'm thinking will happen is Spike will mutate, and he'll stick around with the gang and remain known as 'Spike'. That's probably even where he'll get his mask, belt, and probably weapon too. But things will be different between him and Raph now - perhaps Spike will still want to be all pet-like with Raph, and it creeps Raph out? - and eventually Spike will go rouge and re-name himself 'Slash'.

Wow. Very interesting news to say the least. I agree that Spike might be a good guy for a short bit but then something may change and he'll rename himself as Slash or Mikey will rename him if they get in a fight. Can't wait to see how this plays out. I have faith in the writing team.

Awesome find Powder. Glad we're getting Slash next season. Hopefully they release a better quality pic at SDCC.

I guess Spike gets into the mutagen that the Turtles got at the end of Monkey Brains that we never saw again.

Awesome! He looks sweet! Now all we need are Bebop (he's in!), Rocksteady (he's in!), Hun, Rahzar(he's in!), Tokka, Bishop, Mondo, and Venus (she won't be in. Aww).

I've been wanting to make a custom Slash using the NICK turtles, but it looks like I'll hold off and see if the figure looks like it will be a good base to use for a custom (hopefully, it will have the articulation and detailing of the regular turtles). Even if they do release him, I'll definitely be modding him. Looks like he'll be bigger than the turtles, which is good, but I just don't care for the overall design of his peanut head.

Why is he green instead of brown? Did he touch one of the ninja turtles and is now...extra turtle or maybe part human, part turtle and half tortoise?

Spike was a tortoise right?

The article says he drinks the mutagen rather than just being doused into it. Maybe ingesting mutagen has a different effect on the body.

Yeah! I'd like to see this. There should be a new Mutanimals, with Leatherhead, Slash/Spike, Newtralizer (if he's a prisoner in a Kraang detention center, one can assume that he fights the Kraang), Wingnut and Screwloose and more (not too many though)
