this redesign is a fail for me. imo, this is the first stinker they produced. if he doesnt do well, i'm sure they will give him another redesign in the show effectively making way for a second version.

Yeah I really like those and I have that Comic Con Shredder. I was just thinking in terms of like Mattel did in 02 with the MOTU reissues where like Trap Jaw would have neon green instead of darker green or something like that. Playmates doesn't seem too concerned with "chase" figures ya know? I think that's actually good because I'm a big MOTU fan but I gotta say I feel like they totally saturated the market with variants and in the long run it just became too much. I will say that as a MOC collector though I would like to have one with him wearing the mask and one with him not wearing it though. But I totally understand why they wouldn't.

Yeah....no. They'd never do that just so a new figure could be made, and besides, it's just your opinion. A few people that don't like Casey's new design (which isn't Playmates' fault, BTW) won't be able to change a huge company's mind.
