Regular Pepsi don't sell enough to warrant 4-packs.

Felt bad for the bunnies, but that girl was a PRO. Were we living during a famine, I supposed that would have been useful. If desperate enough we could at least have had rabbit soup. (Sure there are hunting dogs, but they need an owner with them. A cat? Just send out a skilled one to do it herself. )

Speaking of soup... Duckie, those meals sound awesome. And happy anniversary!
Yeah, we had a kitten who brought out a rabbit head from the field so that doesn't surprise me at all.

Happy anniversary, Duckie. I hope it's a good one.

Gear grinder: Going to get severe weather today so I'm not happy about that.

The usual early Sunday work day. Sign day. Far as I knew most of them on the floor I deal with were not expiring until Jun 3rd. Surprise! The damn company decided to change them sooner (including, as usual, wasting time on ones that the price didn't even change but still must be replacd ). So I show up today, on maybe 3 1/2 hours sleep (again) to find I have a stack I have to put up that's probably 8" thick, maybe more. FML

Also wasted time by there being a mass quantity of extras I don't need in certain areas, esp kid's swimsuits. Case in point, for one rack I needed ONE frigging sign. The system must have given us a dozen. (And other racks in that section were similar with a few/several extras; and same story in some other areas.) Which... I can't just simply throw out, because those too will need to be scanned (as not needed), wasting all the more time.

And when I was trying to scan the mass quantity of 'not needed' for boys swimwear alone, the stupid thing we use, which looks like a thick cellphone with a scanner on the back, went and had an app error on me four times that required a reboot each time to even get the app working again. Add in the passwords, logins and million different things to hit just to get back to where I was. Ugh.

Never even got done, still have the infants department to do and old ones to scan, but someone else coming in after will have to pick up where I left off. This company seriously thought we could get all this done in a short amount of time. Couldn't be more disconnected from actual in-store reality.

On the up side, we at least have a store manager who likes to grill burgers and hotdogs for us once in while and did today (for Memorial Day) so I at least grabbed lunch on the way out.

Oh yeah, and one of the new signs (didn't put it up though) said "$0 OFF" Considered putting it up just for laughs, but half these shoppers are confused enough about normal signs.

Wow. Sounds like a pretty distressing day and I feel for you there.

Dad complained he wanted to outside again, but we said no. He was just outside yesterday.

People who say maybe all the time when they really mean no or not likely.
People who say soon to answer "when" and actually mean not likely ever or never.
Dishonesty in general.

One of my best friends does this constantly. I wanna feed her to a T-Rex.

She "hates confrontation" which basically means she's too much of a pussy to just say no, even though I am super understanding about people being busy or simply not in the mood for XYZ.

There's a pretty well documented history of women getting beaten or killed by saying, "no" to the wrong person.

Which is why most of us have been raised to say maybe.

My gear-grind- Had a storm come through around 3:30 this morning. Blew through quick and was gone by the time I left home so I didn't worry about it. UNTIL!! Walking to work this morning, about 1/4 of the way there, I notice that it is DARK. Yes, I go in at 5 AM so of course it is still "night"/dark out, but this was dark as in "no lights anywhere at all"! Pretty much the entire town past our street was blacked out. No lights, not even the traffic lights downtown. So I get to work and yes, the store is DARK, because the whole dang town had a power outage from the storm. Frigging great. And it was about 20 minutes after I was supposed to clock in before it came back on (it had been out since around 3:30- right when the storm was booming when I got up). So we spent nearly an hour and a half getting everything up and running again, during which time we had to clean up everything that was left unfinished overnight from the power failure, AND had to turn away customers because the equipment had to be reset and back up to proper temp before we could even cook anything!

To make matters worse, the storm apparently gave our ABS (automated beverage system aka drink machine) a conniption fit, and it decided to just randomly NOT make drinks all morning. It was basically just skipping random drinks for no reason, causing me to have to stop and manually program them in and wait for them to be made. A pain in the arse. We were also busy as heck due to the holiday weekend and this being graduation weekend. Oh, YAY. And so it went. Today SUCKED. The only GOOD thing was that there were plenty of people coming in when I was scheduled off so that I could get off ON TIME for a change.

We have been talking long enough that she says no to PLENTY of other things... and I'm 2000 miles away... pretty sure CAPS is about as harsh as I could get...

I appreciate honesty and have said that if she means no to just say so and I won't ask her again. Something as simple as a pic with no snap filter.... lol

I've been talking to her for about 6 months. It feels more like a relationship than an every day friendship, despite the distance... I send videos, pics and really, goofy pics I'd never send anyone else... all pg mind you... she says she wants a nice guy... says if i visit i can see her face... buuuut no video, no live chat and no unfiltered pics.

Shes either bs-ing me or playin me... its not like i'm asking for inappropriate pictures. I just want to know who i'm talking to.

Well that's a little fishy... I can understand if someone is self conscious and just afraid of what someone might think of them, but come on.

Reminds me a little of an online friend who, after 13 1/2 years I still do not know her last name nor would she ever give me an address (only know town and state) so I could just send a Christmas card. (Sent ME a card, after I'd had surgery a few years ago, but no return address!) After all that time, no idea what's up with that avoidance and pretty sure we're both just regular people and not out to kidnap or scam the other. But... whatever, that's her deal. But all the times that she'd said in the past, "When are you going to come visit??"... sorry sister; no full name or address then no visits.

Just like your lady friend there, imo there's got to be equal give and openness if someone expects someone to go visit them. That's asking a bit much to expect someone to do that if they insist in hiding to some extent.

Minor grind... The way I frequently tend to misspell "because" and "themselves" in a way that Firefox's spellcheck always thinks I meant "barbecue" and "shirtsleeves." >.> lol

Yeah, thats kind of my point... I'd go visit her in a hesrtbeat, if i had money to travel since flying would be easier than driving... annnnd, just from talking to her, before seeing filtered pics, she seems like a halfway decent person.... and all that. Plus she has sent a small string of snap videos using the filters, but only after she had too much to drink, home alone... lol.

I've not really told her, but at this point if she isn't willing to do a live chat or send some videos today, I'm just going to back away from this friendship as jts kind of one sided right now... I had even offered to buy her lunch/dinner if she would but spend just 10 minutes in a live video chat where she didn't even need to be on camera... just set the phone/tablet down pointing at her dog.... can't get much easier than that...

Dunno. Guess I just always find the odd ones. Lol

Dad's being a pain again. So tired of him and his garbage so we're not giving in to him. Things are going to be on our terms, not his.

I don't know either of you personally, but I do know more than a few women who've been stalked/harassed/threatened by dudes online. All for giving a guy an answer he didn't want to hear.

So I get your frustration, but I think keeping a little context in mind might not be a terrible thing either.

I'm broke, last thing I'm going to do is hitch hike 2000 miles.... lol. And if I could get folks to "donate" money, I'd buy food and fuel for my car.... lol #damntumor

Anyways. Shes out today with her irl friends... I figure if she can't give me five minutes today, its time to move on, despite how much I like her... its not every day i find a woman I like that also likes Turtles... her fav is Splinter... lol.

So my mom had an appointment today with a neurologist to go over the brain scans she recently had done. (Which luckily seems to actually be fine and what someone thought could be a bleed may actually be nothing and normal at her age.) But I went with her because her hands/wrists were hurting so bad, in case she wanted me to do the driving later.

Fast forward... we stopped by a medical aid unit near home on the way back to have her wrists checked out. The place didn't seem overly busy - a bunch of people, but not packed or anything - but the wait was ridiculously long...

And once she finally got checked out, what do we find out...? Oh look, when she fell in the backyard (again...) around Easter, catching herself on her hands, she managed to put a fracture in each wrist. Which, by doing some yard work the other day, she went and aggravated it and that's why it has been hurting worse than before.

Fortunately it looks like it was already in the healing process on its own. Has to go see the same Dr. she was seeing for the broken arm, but doubt anything will have to be done for this other than keep the braces on she was given today. But seriously... the hell am I going to do with this woman? Wrap her arms in bubble wrap maybe?

That sucks. I had to take my dad to emergency a couple of weeks ago, and I ended up stuck at the hospital for five hours. The next few days were a pain in the ass too, as he had no idea when he was going to be released, and every day we seemed to get contradictory information. Cost me a bomb in parking too. Mofos!

My brother didn't follow through on his insurance and they ended up cancelling him. He didn't find out until he went to the doctor's to check his ankle. With his insurance, it's the state insurance and you have to go through certain requirements such as seeing a doctor twice a year, a dentist, and an eye doctor which he never did. He also never opened his mail for it and just tossed the envelopes aside. Needless to say, my mom wasn't happy considering she was the one who paid for it.
