I know I am not allowd to Double post, but I just saw the preview to next weeks ep!!!! Usagi is to return!!
AHAH! I KNEW that's where Leo would end up!! Er, that is, okay. Wonder if it'll be based on the UY/TMNT crossover comic...

*chokes, laughs* Kazari! The quote in your signature! That IS terrible!

Preview pics: Neko ninja! Cool! Leo looking like a traditional ninja, weird.

Quote:
oh yes, I beleive so also. I think Donatello is the one that is going to end the Shredder for good!!
*squeaks* Must he?

Quote:
Karais voice repeating things like 'Shredder is your master' and stuff like that reminded me of a scene from the book *and movie* 'A Wrinkle in Time'..... Except the name Shredder was replaced with 'It'. (It is your master...you cannot escape It....) *shudders* kinda freaky. Scratch that. Really freaky.
Hmm. Hadn't thought about "Wrinkle in Time". Kinda similar, yeah...

Quote:
After all of this, I think the effect on Donnie will be intense. He will become obsessed with creating some tool to finally get rid of the Shredder; if I know him he will do what it takes to keep his brother's from a pretty bleak future and a horrible way to die.
That's probably true. If they continue the repercussions after this episode, Don's gonna get *real* quiet. Almost to the point of being scary.

Quote:
A BIG concern for me is how parents are going to react to this. You Know people are going to make a big deal of a cartoon bloodbath...
I'm not sure what they thought about Gargoyles' "Future Tense"... I didn't hear much about it. But most parents that would be concerned about that kind of thing weren't letting their kids watch the show in the first place, thinking it was 'demonic' (heard a lot about that from my uncle, sigh). So I dunno what the reaction will be to it in Turtles.

Hun mumbling about how he wanted to be put out of his misery, Baxter adding "What about putting you out of *my* misery?!" Funniest line in the show. Not that it was that funny, but considering the rest of the events, it was hilarious.

Quote:
And I do think Leo was bind. When he meet up with Raph, didn't Raph speak first? I'm pretty sure he did. To me it felt like Raph said "Leo?" and Leo was surprised asuming the turtle coming was Mikey until he heard his voice. If Leo could see I think he would have been the one to realize it was Raph first (instead of Raph realizing it was Leo) but only relying on sound he couldn't distinguish between Raph and Mikey. Or I could be completely wrong and he can see fine, and just likes the shades.
The only thing I saw that would suggest he's not is when Don rallies them up and Raph extends his hand to Leo with no words, and Leo takes it. Other than that one event (and I think you could explain it away somehow), I'd say he was blind. Like you said, when he heard Raph, he turned and held his sword ready, but didn't identify who was there until he'd spoken. When Don had knocked them both over and was holding his hands out to them, Raph took his hand, but he had to haul Leo up by the arm when he didn't take it. Leo had a shocked look on his face like he knew who'd knocked him over, but the fact that it was a wooden instrument and not a sai that did it would alert him that something was up.

I don't think it's human nature for people to kill each other. Man is inherently good, but wars are necessary from time to time to maintain a world peace.
Anyways, once again, I end my philosophical/Republican rant.
*blinks* I think man is inherently rotten myself, and I'm pretty much Republican... Christian, though. Okay, no politics, no religion, that just startled me a bit.

(LOL, I missed the "blink" face from the GD forums so much I uploaded it to my site so I could use it here. One of my favorites, since that's my usual state )

Since I can't technicially delete this post myself, I've decided to just edit it and wipe out that I said. Sorry if I offended anyone with what I said. Y'all go on with the ep-discussion. I'll just lurk and keep my virtual mouth shut from now on.

Peace.

*nods* I thought Kazari was fine, she was being playful, which is I why I was being silly and whining that she and some others were doing that. For the record, whenever I say I'm whining, I'm being playful too. I hope you're not yelling at me, cuz that was not my intention at all. I for one enjoy Kazari's comments! She's funny, and fun to whine at.

Don't get upset, please.

EDIT: Okies, Wolf. Evidence gone.

So much for coming over here to read a nice discussion about the episode, instead there's all this off-topic-ness. You know, when a moderator politely tells you knock something off, you knock it off. It's not open to debate or opinion, you stop doing it or face further potential moderation. I don't understand the 'tude some people give to moderators around here.

In any case - Aska_Badoura - thanks for that recap in detail. I missed the ep again because I slept in (being sick sucks), and although my head is still spinning making reading difficult, your recap was cool. I'll have to wait till it hits dvd to see it though. Maybe we could clear up the "Is Leo blind?" thing by asking Peter himself? I'm curious to know whether that was the intention of the glasses or not.

That's cool, but maybe you should PM her and tell HER that, Aska. I talked to her on MSN earlier, AFTER the ep went off, and she was rather upset. She honestly thought you were upset with her.

God, I just HATE misunderstandings................

"Terrible" how? "Terrible" as in "corny", or "terrible" as in "mean" or "nasty"?

And I'm sorry again for the misunderstanding, Aska. I've known Kazzy for a long time (we started out in the SWAT Kats fandom together, WAY the heck back in the day), and I tensd to be very protective of her at times. Kinda like an older sister, if you know what I mean.

And jestergoblin, I sincerely hope that she doesn't. I've put in my 2 cents. Now I'm just gonna hush and simply lurk about in the Drome's different sections. Don't know if I'm gonna put in MY review for this ep, or not. I really WANT to, but................

Bye, and peace.

Ohh! An on topic note, did anyone notice that when Raphie shouted "NO!" after Leo got killed in the Cartoon Network version of this episode, that his patched eye was on the wrong side?

An oopsie. My sister actually pointed it out to me, and I was all, 'd00d!' O.O

But in today's airing of this, I'm pretty sure it was fixed. I wonder if the cell was just flipped the wrong way or something. o.o

Terrible as in badly written, why didn't they think about how weird that sounds? I'll go talk to Kazari, Wolf, I didn't realize I hurt her feelings.

Yeah, I did notice that. But I've seen it before in both animation and live action; they do it if they think the scene composition looks better in reverse. It's an editing thing rather than an animating thing. You get used to it after a while.

*snickers* Oh, okay. I thought you meant "terrible" as in "corny". Shows what I know, I guess. *snickers again, this time at her silly self*

That's cool. I'm sure you two can work it out, sys. I'm just sorry that a silly misunderstanding got THIS far when it didn't have to.

*ahem* Now I think we'd better get back ON topic before the local raptor-mod (YOU know who you are! ) comes and kills us for drifting so far OFF-topic!

Peace.

This episode looked more like an animated fanfic. (The TMNT splitting up, Leo and Raph get into a fight when they reunite, EVERYONE is cold and bitter, even Mike, Raph losing an eye).

Whoa--I've forgotten how fast these new topics will fly by.

Yikes! I was going to watch this episode today (taped it), but now I'm a little freaked out by the spoilers! Talk about macarbe! I think I will watch it, but geez, man . . .Bit harsh?

Would you guys recommend it?

I thought the previous two episodes were pretty lame, but this one more than made up for it. I was never a fan of the 'grim alternate future' scenario, and while I didn't like it in this episode either ('Master Splinter...? Nooo!' 'Casey...? Nooo!' Lame.), I did love almost everything else.

I was actually quite surprised that Michelangelo was actually missing an arm rather than having a cybernetic hand or some crap like that (And might I add, that I greatly preferred this 'mature' Mikey over the regular 'goofball' one). Of course, that was only the first of the surprises. I was almost schocked to see how many people actually died. I'm not saying I want every episode to be this dark, but the TMNT did start out dark and gritty, and I'm glad to see the writers weren't afraid to carry that feeling over to the show for once.

On a side note, I loved Mikey and Leo's designs, and the dialogues and animation were excellent as well.

I'm expecting a lot of the final confrontation with Shredder after having seen this episode.

This episode was very good, but far too depressing for me to consider it my favorite. I also felt it was kinda rushed, it just didn't feel right. They should have at least made it a 2 parter. Maybe it's how they got through the Shredder's security so easily that bothered me. Then again, we already saw an episode of them getting past his security in the first season.

I'm quite shocked and upset with the little respect that Machias and other mods get by some of them members...

The mods are trying to maintain order and support the forum rules, and yet, they get snapped at by some of the members because of it...

I'm sickened by these "rebels vs. authorities" fights.

The mods are not trying to screw around with you people! They are trying to support this place and make it a friendly and fun environment for everyone... not just some people... EVERYONE!

Everyone has a right to enjoy this place.

If a mod asks you to not do this or that because of so and so, it's not because we're trying to be bitches and pests...

Please be more understanding of the responsibilities that the mods have to uphold...

And please be responsible members too...

Why do I always have the worst timing?

Anyway. This is probably going to be my favorite episode for a long, long time. I just spent the entire episode with my jaw on the floor. Everything was just so… intense.

Mikey’s change was a huge shock. I did like how Don’s would-be counter part had been gone for the thirty years our Don seemed to travel to make it seem like it’s a totally possible future. Mikey never mentioned the exact circumstances of Donnie’s disappearance, and it very well could have been because of the UD’s attack.

I totally went fangirl over Raphael. Just as dark and intense, and angry over the loss of Splinter. And he’s so happy to see Don. Then losing Leo in the fight…

There’s really way too much to comment on, and everybody’s probably said it all by now. Yeah, gotta do some fanworks based on this…

Exactly. What we say is NOT up for debate, especially when it doesn't concern you. You have a problem? Take the dramatics to PM. Don't SPAM the board with stuff that doesn't concern you. We're FINISHED with this fight.
