Reallisticly, we are looking at a format that needs to have a beggining and an end with this season, and go back to the future if we're renewed to continue forward, otherwise this is heading to non-canon city for me. Everyone thought the fourth season of Teen Titans should have, and was going to be, the final one, but they got the revival at the last minute and limped to the finish line with the most inane season of their long run, worse than the third season, that did'nt offer much other than simplified plots that led to mediocre resoultions at best |

Well, I watched my frist FF episode, and it's not half bad. Aside from a few glitches and akward camera angles, it looked pretty good. The animation fares well, not as good as in the previous seasons, but...effective(allthough I still dislike the art direction), Mikey getting that robot ballte armor definatley made me laugh, and Cody isn't as annoying as I previously thought.
Allthough, I didn't see the whole episode, I had to record it and the tape cut off around the end(so if smoeone could tell me how it ended I'd be very appreciative). 7/10, not bad, let's just hope I can say that for the rest of the season |

And I have to agree about Don getting more attention this season. He and Cody and Blue are going to be insufferable together. And yeah, I had to listen to some other music to get that song out of my head. I think... I think I may be... starting to like it...

I didn't see the last episode but i figured i didn't miss much.
From what i've seen from this one, it's average but pretty good. Even though the TMNT are in daylight more often in this episode compared to other average episodes. When they mentioned not able to bring their weapons as they travelled to 2105. I was all like "Just like in Terminator" where only living tissue can travel through time. when I saw Uncle Darius, I didn't really think of him as the decendent of Bishop. But didn't any one else think he's a recarnation of Orson Welles? That and I think that Blue alien girl was cool. And this Fast Forward isn't as bad as I knew it would. Animation is different. But be glad they're using the same actors i'll continue watching it cause it's still Ninja Turtles. And least the good thing is it's not a Jetson's Future, but more of a Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century/Buzz Lightyear of Star Command like future.

I'm sorry, but this is your first post and you're throwing sh*t like that out there? where's your credibility and who's your source? Secondly - When has any season of 03's TMNT been just 13 episodes? I understand that this isn't just "The first half" of the Lost Season, it's the 13 episode arch that finishes up the current storyline left over from season 4, but the fact is that every season there has been little "fillers." Instead of doing the fillers to take up more time, the would get straight to the point and do the lost season like it's supposed to be done - Continue it and finish it. Now, I haven't had a chance to watch this episode this week, but I plan to later tonight. I'll post what I think later on.

As for the episode itself... Not bad; the series keeps reminding me of early Season 1: a lot of set-up, with the plots a bit on the dull side, while the crew and characters gelled. However, Season 1 at least had the promise of the Shredder and based-on-the-comic-book stories to keep people interested, advantages Fast Forward lacks. Still, an alright episode (teaser aside), with some interesting developments, foremost among them, the new characters. I'm not sure what to think about Darius Dun. Not exactly what I was expecting the turtles' new big bad to look like, but still, not a bad debut. Good design, good voice...promising. Starle Hambra (that's my spelling and I'm sticking to it until we get something official), on the other hand, I definitively like. Good design, good voice...and skates! I like the idea of different age limits for different species. I hope we see more of her, if only to have at least one female present. The Inuwashi Gunjin: a bit dull for a villain-of-the week, but they have promise--I wouldn't mind seeing them again, to hear about their history with Dun. So the turtles get ready to leave, and Serling breaks out...bubbly? So random. Final question: since we know Serling was bugged last episode and would have heard about Cody's joyride from there, do y'all think he was telling the truth when he said that Biggles informed him of it? |

Hey, that wasn't so bad
I'm really glad that the weapons are not what I imagined - blasting lasers Star Wars style and so on. Wonder what the special abilities of Raph's and Mikey's weapons are. Anyway, I think Fast Forward will have my attention after all, the only thing I hate about it so far is the new intro song.

Ok. I watched half the ep...and it's just plain crap. :/ It feels completely kiddy now.
TMNT needs to go straight to DVD like marvel is doing with its characters...so we can have something much more like the comic source. |

I liked it. It built on last week's episode and actually set up the potential of an on-going season plot with Cody's Uncle Darius.
Starly seems cool (probably a love interest for Cody), but I think she needs more screen time before I make a real decision about her. Serling and the cop I really don't like so far. But Cody seems pretty good. Love the new weapons (as someone else has said a FF video game would be really cool - maybe Ubisoft can do one if the movie game sells well and FF is popular). Mikey's suit was fantastic. Loved his "violence isn't the answer" after it fell apart and how he said "future sucks" until he got his new weapons! The show has potential (far more than I hoped for so far). As for Turtleherder's credibility. Final judgement will come when the series launches for real in September and we see if it has new credits or not. But right now I trust him/her. The production number for Future Shellshock was 118 - 13 episodes after the end of S4. There was an old Playmates press release around the end of season 3/start of season 4 that said 117 episodes were currently finished or in some stage of production shortly before Peter Laird mentioned they had just working on Season 6 (with a new direction) in the TMNT letters page. Both of those things would support the original season 5 being a 13 episode story arc rather than 26 episode season with filler episodes. As for finished, maybe it is now? The scripts for TLS were finished before they started FF. Production had started on those episodes, but they were put on the back burner as FF was brought forward. So all they had to do was complete them (probably tweaking some details to give the series a more complete finale). We have no idea how much work was done on them before FF was brought forward nor how much is left to be done. Since they're aiming for an early 07 release then I'd guess a lot of work is done. The cast probably recorded voices whilst working on FF so all that's left is finishing the animation. All I'm saying is there could be truth in those words, so don't dismiss them so easily. |

EDIT: My bad, Raph's Girl. I hadn't seen your post yet. "Starley" just sounds like a less awkward spelling, so I'll believe the captionists this time... O_o

This episode was better but still crap. That girl sucked. Why did she have roller shoes? That's lame. And that robot is really gay, and I mean gay like C-3PO gay.
This is so kiddie "Oh my Uncle won't let me out Adults suck!" "Yeah Adults SUCK" "I'm 12 but I'm super smart! Kids are smart too! Screw adults!" "I CASH IN ON ANIME WITH MY ROBOT!" |
