Better be ready to get Laird. I know Murphy said Laird "wasn't the biggest fan of it" I seem to remember reading somewhere he really didn't like it at all. But I;m not sure where so I could be wrong.

He did a crap load of the covers and a boat load of characters belong to him as well.
And honestly people get allot of what Myself and Spitfire say wrong.
Dude Peter and Kevin are like 2 of my biggest idiols but if you cant joke about them atleast to some extent then you're really taking life way to seriously.

Yeah seriously, Future Shark was so awesome. Why can't we get TPB's of those issues? I really wish, I could track them all down*I do own alot of them but their mangled* but it would be nice to have them in TPB.

I'm pretty sure Armaggon is Peters character which makes it even more odd.

Yeah, it is Peter's character.

Future Shark is easily my favorite Archie story and near the top of my favorite all-time TMNT stories. How anyone can consider this series to have any connection to the original cartoon is beyond me.

He would be so perfect for fastforward it was the perfect opertunity to finally get some animated archie and they blew it thats what I think stinks about FF.
And the only way they could would be by looking at the first mini series based on the toon but other than that Archie is it's own tmnt world.

Well that would be because it had old toon characters in it. Except they took them and made them better.

Also it had like I think 4 issues of old toon stories. Which is why it was such a good TV show comic. It took the cartoon world and made it's own stories instead of just using episodes for stories.

But yeah it was so much more mature then the old toon I don't see it either sometimes.

It was like the OT, in the first 2 seasons. from 3 the show got a little cheeser and the comic got more involved. That's why I love archie, it took the TMNT i was introdused to and gave me stories I could enjoy as a 9, 10, even 12 year old.

Oh and Quite Frankly I'd rather have Kevin Eastman here since he actully likes to talk about the TURTLES and not some crap that has nothing to do with it.

+1 on the Kevin Eastman thing. It would be interesting to get to chat with Peter though, but I don't think I'd want to criticize him, even in the slightest bit, based on the tmnt vol. 4 letters I've read. On the flip side of things, Kevin Eastman seems much more of a laid back kool guy from what I've seen and heard. Not only could I chat about tmnt with kevin, but I hear he was quite a heavy metal fan back in the day. In fact I remember in one of the old tmnt mirage series books, there was a wall drawn with graffiti on it that said Megadeth, Slayer ect....

Anywho, I still respect peter because he is co-creator of some of my favorite characters of all time, but sometimes it seems he goes out of his way to print the negative letters in the book just to rant and such. Who knows though, maybe the guy just has a weird sense of humor about all this, and maybe he's a really laid back kool guy. I mean obviously tone of voice can't really come across on paper, maybe he's just sarcastic. I wouldn't really want to judge the guy to much though based on remarks on negative letters he's recieved. After all I've never met him.

BTW- Anyone here ever meet Peter in real life?

Poor guy got ripped on pretty harsh in this thread. I'd love to meet him, he's a genius, already have with Eastman, Laird doesn't seem to get around to the major comic conventions unfortunately.
