Well, that once scene became a pretty big hit over at nick.com, and the kids are all unanimous, in that April kissed Donnie on the lips, not the cheek.

The scene is at the top of the page, it looks to me she kissed him on the lips. We've seen what a kiss on the cheek is like.

Maybe. I was a huge movie version of Rogue/Wolverine, and I thought I saw something in X3 when Rogue came into Xavier's office, asking if the cure is true, and there was Wolverine, in my eyes, actually looking her up and down in this weird way. May have not meant anything, but it looked to me like his thought went somewhere naughty for a second.

I never even knew about those sites when I started to ship them. Hell, I shipped Donnie and Irma way back in the 80's, way before the internet became big.

I have no problem with with fan fiction personally. Some people write romance fics for characters they like together, even if there aren't any hints. For example, from the first Pokemon series I liked Todd (Toru) x Duplica (Imite). These two characters have never even met.

Fanfics are also nice for exploring storylines that some series never get into or won't.

Another example...I liked the Digimon Adventure series. One of my favorite characters was Koushirou (Izzy). His character is adopted though and helped define his character, like how he was so closed up. He knew about it, but his adoptive parents didn't know that he knew. The issue was discussed though. It made me highly curious about how people perceived adoption in Japan, given the way Koushirou acted and his image theme, which came across as his wanting to "upgrade" himself and facing the things he wanted to know about. I loved that! Couldn't find a fic so wrote one myself with the scenario that the issue was never approached or discussed.

So not everyone write fics for the sole purpose of romance.

As pointed out, not all fanfics are about romance. Just as not all pictures, including those on deviantart are about romance/shipping. deviantart actually has a lot of standalone pics, including the turtles, where there is no romance at all.


Whether April kissed him on the lips or cheek is kind of irrelevant in this context. What Donnie was saying and her response just wouldn't be appropriate for a girl with no romantic inclinations. No normal girl with platonic feelings for a friend would have responded like that. Maybe they really are going to make those two a legit couple?

I don't know what to make of that, if the point was for Donnie to move on, then the didn't follow though at the end. as Donnie said summing I think the episode perfectly, I understand nothing.

the other think I don't know about it when Raph said, something to the effect of, now you know how April feels. I get that there is some hate toward the way he acts with April. so maybe they felt that they had to point that out, but as far as I remember he never followed her around, when she clearly didn't feel comfortable with it.

okay yes when she was mad at them at the start of season 2 he did. however he never invaded her personal space, then or at any other point. he happened to be in the same area as he thought she would be and took the change to see if he could see her, know that she was safe. as she is still being targeting by the Kraang. the second time I believe he is doing the same thing, once she finds him he leaves her alone. I know he has not been perfect, but he is not as bad as some people make him out to be. if anything, honestly big foot reminded me more of Casey, the way he acts with April at times.

this has been said before, but if she felt really uncomfortable April would say something, she doesn't. yes she didn't know what to say about the magic box, but apart for that she dose at any point in the episode or any other than when she was mad at them all, ever want to get away from Donnie. she is the one the starts all of the contact between them. she kisses him again in this episode.

After seeing the scene I think it's safe to say they choose the perfect angle so the fans can guess wether or not she kissed him on the cheek or on the lips. I honestly think she kissed him either on the lips, or on the cheek but with his lips only being an inch or so away. Her face was just way too close to where Donnie's mouth would be in that angle.

If anything, her missing his lips by a few inches would be her way of saying 'you're getting closer'.

You know, you're right. Everybody was in an uproar that April kissed Don on the lips since that storyboard was leaked. Everyone was practically begging for it to be a fake since they didn't want to see April kiss Don on the lips. Now that the scene is out (and looked exactly as it did in the storyboard like you pointed out) everyone is now changing their story to 'uhhh.... um.... it was on the cheek!!!'
