Do you think the New 3DS can handle the Ice Climbers? It might be a dick move to make Ice Climbers exclusive to the New 3DS, but if that's what it takes to get them back on the Wii-U version so be it.

If they did, then they technically wouldn't be able to play online as people without the new 3DS still wouldn't be able to use them.

With all the concessions they made to make sure everyone had the same characters, they aren't going to throw it out the window, now. That's the whole reason they cut the characters in the first place.

Also, for anyone that wants to play me, I tend to host matches late at night or early in the morning! I also have Skype that we can use for organising matches better.

Simple, if you use Ice Climbers you would only be linked online to other players using the New 3DS.

Again. The whole reason they cut the characters in the first place was to not do that. They want the rosters the same. And if they were willing to cut Ice Climbers and divide up characters in order to do that, they aren't going to stop now.

They wanted the rosters between the 3DS/Wii-U to be the same. Ice Climbers would have no problem on Wii-U, and if its on the New 3DS so be it.

They never said the roster between 3DS and New 3DS had to be the same, mainly because they never said anything about the New 3DS in general.

The Ice Climbers had their time. They were in two out of four games. Isn't that enough? Do we really need the same characters in all the games plus newcomers?

They could probably have every single Mario character ever in SSB if they wanted to. It doesn't mean that they should, or that anyone would really be excited about them. Go to Melee or Brawl if you want to be the Ice Climbers, but don't whine about what an injustice it is that the duo was omitted.

Are you being serious? Of course people want most (if not all) characters to return in each game. Why do you think people constantly get upset over cut characters?

If they actually started removing characters like Ness, Mr Game and Watch, Falco, Marth, etc...you think people would be fine with it? Of course not. The only cuts people are fine with are complete clones or those with licensing issues like Snake.

So, I played Kid Icarus Uprising for the first time tonight and it's pretty incredible how much of that game has informed Smash 3DS. The menus, the vault and challenges. Pretty much all of it. It's also more clear just how much of the trophy and item stuff came from that game now. It guess it makes sense from a technical perspective, but damn.

I played smash bros on the New-3DS and, I must say, the C-Stick confused the hell out of me. My brain was like "does Not compute.."

Even though it was there I was still using directional commands for smashes..

One thing different from an actual GameCube controller, iirc,
is on the new-3DS You can [Hold] and [Charge] your smash move..
Before, it was just the basic smash right?

I filmed me playing with Google glass and overall,
as excited as I was for the
new 3DS, after using it for a bit of time,
err - I'm not as excited anymore
and will probably not upgrade from my current LL,
Well, I'll wait a while at least.. A bit pointless just to play smash and get new faceplates..

Although the 3DS effect was noticeably better but.. Meh

I'd be fine with literally all of those characters being cut, personally. Assuming they had decent replacements, of course.
