Great episode, loved it...

....neeeeehh, except for one tiny little thing:

Was anyone else slightly annoyed by Renet's "OMG!! Happypeppycheerleader" thing when she met the guys at the museum? Oy.... T.T

Other than that, awesome episode! Can't wait for Saturday!

it was my first time seeing her, and I too think she had an annoying side to her charater. Which I didn't expected her to have in the first place.

*blinks* Wow... we have a lot of dinosaur people in here. I only remember tidbits from school and "Walking With Dinosaurs" (which I watched for the animation, rather than the dinosaurs ).

Quote:
I just realized something.... Don saw a bunch of long necked dinos and exlaimed they were Apatasaurs...but that's impossible....Apatasaurs are Jurrasic dinos...they're in the cretaceous period!
Ooops. Didn't do their research again. :p But I wouldn't know either... dinosaurs have never been my thing. They're interesting, I like seeing skeletons and stuff, but I only know the most basic types.

Quote:
Why did Don attack the dinosaur that he had just scared away with his sneeze?
Yeah... I wanted to know that too. "Um, it's gone, it's not bothering you any more, why are you picking a fight with it?!"

Quote:
I think it was a matter of pride why Don attacked the dino after scaring him off with sneezing.
Oh. Could be... but he's usually pretty practical. Practicality over pride would be safer. :p

Quote:
I think it's perhaps showing us how his attitude is changing because when I saw Don do that I was like what the hell that's not called for the dino left...it was also really out of Don's character to be doing that! So for me I took it as his next stage of mutation to be setting in more.
Ooh. That may be also... hadn't thought of that.

Quote:
I loved it when Mikey named the dino Zog. Myabe the potato Chips made Zog smart and then he develops a space civilization to go off into space and form the Triacetarons race! lol
I almost wouldn't put that past them.... :p

Quote:
I notice the TMNT's new vechile from the intro. Least I think it now belongs to them.
I kinda wondered why they didn't show them working on it earlier. It just sort of appeared.

Quote:
Did anyone notice that the first part of the episode took place at the museum of natural history in NYC? What really impressed me was how faithfully the artists reproduced the detail and floorplan of the actual museum! For those who haven't been there, there is indeed a room with a huge model of a blue whale suspended from the ceiling - very impressive.
The Smithsonian has one... NYC does too? Interesting trivia.

Quote:
And off to the side in a separate part are the dinosaur skeletons. I checked some photos I took there 2 years ago and was surprised to see that even the light fixtures in the dinosaur room were correct!
Wow! I see.. I am impressed. Now, if we could just find a map of the NYC sewers and see if they're drawing them correctly..
*blinks at second photo* Biiiiiig turtle... Oddly, though, it looks like they didn't actually use it as reference for the show, though, since the one they drew has the plastron removed (and it actually looks pretty accurate under there). *shrugs* That's just kind of weird, is all.

Quote:
Okay I have to ask if orange the new green in the world? Why is that Triceratops painted orange. It's strange...
Why not? They could be any color, really. Purple-polka-dotted!

Quote:
I suppose it makes sense tho. In Land Before Time 7 Littlefoot meets some alien dinos.
*blinks* And this, friends, is what happens when one makes far too many sequels of what was once a hit animated film. :p

Noone has mentioned Leo's hat yet, and I got to say it's a kick ass hat.

Leo's been wearing that Indian Jones hat since he went to Japan to train with his great-grandfather, the Ancient One.

Altho it appears that in the original comic Mike and Don sported similar hats when they went to the museum.

I think the hats in the comic look more like "Indiana Jones" hats (a fedora?) than Leo's, at least as it was first drawn in the Ancient One ep. Leo's hat has a much broader brim and is not as tall.

I don't know anything about hats... maybe that qualifies as the same kind of hat.

I wish they faught a dinosaur, like a T-rex or something cool like that. They should have cut the time spent in the museum and had some dino action in part 1, cause part 2 is most likely going to be a fight against Savanti. Which I am really looking forward to, the preview looked pretty epic.

It was about time we got an episode that dealt with MY FAVORITE TURTLED ISSUES OF ALL-TIME (Tales of the TMNT Vol. I #7)!!! I thought this episode took many ideas from the issue and used it well. I even mouthed the words, "Greetings from the Crestaceous (sp?)" just as it was said in the issue, when Savanti Romero transforms the dino bones into an image of his face, with the evil laugh.

And yay, Donny shines even more, in this episode. I love how Donny's getting all the attention, now, seeing as they're gonna build up his tranformation into the GameraDon. And it was good to see Renet again, althought that was expected, since she is the only key to them getting to the past in the comic issue.

And this episode provided so much comedy. And I'm soooo sooooo glad they're making my favorite comic issue into a two-part episode. This is like a slice of heaven, to me! I have no regrets in saying, prematurely, that this will be one of my most favorite episode archs..... EVER!

On a side note: If Renet's "oops" towards April is in reference to Renet showing April her "secret origin" in the fourth volume of the TMNT comics, I will seriously keep my kids from ever watching this show........ EVER!

So if that's the case, then Zog should take out Savanti's T-rex...maybe we'll get some butt kickin' dino action as well as the battle with Savanti.

On a side note: Will Renet's slip relate back to Volume 4, or to Fast Forward?

I sure hope so about Zog!
and I am really wondering the same thing...I wonder if she's the reason they get sent into the Future?!?!
Man I can hear Raph now " Ah! Geez! That stupid Bimbo Sent us to the Future! *smacks Mikey*
Mikey: HEY! what's that for!
Raph: for all those years I missed out on smackin' ya! heh
