I'm the asshole that plays Dark Pit in 4 player friend matches and custom equips him to be a defender so you can't kill him. My game records have him listed as the character with the largest average group because I never play him any other time.

I play For Glory from time to time, but I've never looked at my records, they're probably hilariously embarrassing.

1 on 1 for Glory is amazing and addictive.

I have 195 wins and 240 losses online in 1 on 1 stock. I've face some truly skilled opponents but I've also racked up 195 wins.

I love getting destroyed by skilled Japanese players. Everytime I see someone with a Japanese name I figure I'm going to lose and that turns out to be the case. Japanese people know how to play.

I once got into a For Glory game with a Japanese Greninja player and he ****ing destroyed me.

We went for like 11 matches in a row.

I'm far from a pro player and I've always hated people who want to play on FD with no items, but I haven't been able to stop playing 1v1. I wish they used the regular stages though. Playing the same stage gets boring pretty quick.

I've actually beat most of the (I'm assuming) Japanese players I've played. I played against a really good Shiek last night, but end the end Peach's crown smack was too much for him to overcome.

I rarely ever see anyone play as certain characters online. Peach, Jigglypuff, Mr. Game and Watch, Rosalina, etc. I almost never see anyone play as.

I got destroyed by the first GOOD Jigglypuff player I ran into. All they did was float, kick and try to luck spam Rest. Which killed me. Twice. Which I hated.

I like using those rare characters. Makes it more fun. Peach is one of my most used. So is G&W, but I usually use him to troll. When I beat someone a few times in a row, I'll pick G&W and instead of fighting will grab them and smack them with the bell until they break away. That's it. Every time they make a mistake I counter with a grab, bell smack, throw. I try to teach... But they usually leave after that :/

I had a match this morning as DHD vs Pac-Man in which I somehow got lucky enough to hit DHD's up air at the moment Pac-Man used his down B. The two connected just as the meteor effect from DHD's up air hit and it shot the hydrant into the air and sent the Pac-Man off screen. I didn't even know this could happen.

Quick and dirty summary:

Sakurai also went with 5 minutes in Smash Run as he felt 4 minutes was too short, and 6 minutes was too long. Also, in Kid Icarus Uprising there is some mode that is 5 minutes. Furthermore, 2 songs fit perfectly in a 5 minute time frame.

Wii U has more modes, which meant that the development time took longer.

Fighters changed for various reasons. Lucario had to incorporate his Mega Form. Pit had to use weapons from his new game, and other characters changed for balance reasons.

They can add more tips via update, so there isn't a concrete number on how many tips are in the game.

Sakurai really cares about music in games.

He states that you can use the 3DS as a controller, and the Gamecube controller too (and transfer custom characters / Mii Fighters).

Wii U version will show greatness.

Sakurai chooses PoTD 10 days in advance, and sometimes picks a theme on what to show.

Sakurai states that for the 3DS stage, Magicant they made a full 3D model for Flying Man. But because the pixel version loaded faster and looked better, they went with that.

Development is still ongoing, and it's difficult. But he's glad a lot of people will play the game.

It looks like Amazon revealed a new mode in its listing.

I wish they wouldn't waste time on all these side game modes and instead put more time into beefing up the roster. How often do people play these side activities in the game?

They should keep Classic/All-star and I like multi-man smash and Home Run Contest, but all the other single player modes are boring.

Most of the time people either just go straight online or play Smash against CPU or human opponents, not play all these other single player modes.

I dunno, I like the idea of a board game mode! I hope it's online.

So you know the announcer in Smash who says, "SUUUUUPER SMAAAAASH BROTHERS!" and says every characters name when you choose them? Apparently he's only 22 years old, and here's his vid:

Obviously this is not the same guy who did the Melee (or Brawl?) announcer, but he does the Wii-U and 3DS one. I can't believe he's so young, a kid at only 22 years old got to be the announcer for the Wii-U/3DS Smash.

He's also from my area. I've chatted with him on Twitter.

A lot of my friends in the biz got started around the same age.

Yeah, I love the fact that what he decided to do with Bowser....Jr was something they went with. I had no idea he was allowed to say the names differently and Nintendo chose the best ones.

And lol, people are asking him if he ever said "Ridley" or "Mewtwo" in the comment section. Haha.

That's usually how it works if the director doesn't have something immediate in mind.

Well he would have to since he would have had to say their names.

I just can't understand how they went with a 22 year old kid as opposed to bringing the guy from Brawl back. He flat out said he was a kid who used to imitate the announcer from Melee/Brawl.

Its shocking really.

I guess. He is very young, but we all gotta start somewhere. The other guy might have had commitments, that made him unable to do voicing in this verion.

He's only 22 so he probably got this job straight out of College. Its quite a success for him.

I wonder how much he got paid.
