No no, I agree- I'm very glad that the series is continuing! I can't wait to see the Turtles come home. I'm sorry.

Not necessarily bad. Just kinda frustrating that they're still trying to reinvent the show rather than just letting it go back to something that needed no repairs. It's the same argument as the one about incorporating things created especially for 2K3 into the Mirage books. Why don't we just merge all the Turtle-verses and be done with it. Then, there'll only be one TMNT. How wouldn't that be a good thing?

They only mentioned this idea about a month before ep 13, "The Journal", aired because 4Kids wanted to save the other half for the fall. Then, ep 14, "The Gaminator", aired, and it seemed they had nixed that idea. But, since they technically didn't polish off all 26 within the time-frame of a year, there were a handful of FF eps that were considered 'second season' going by broadcast seasons. It just wasn't nearly 13.

I do agree with the whole 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' but ratings were dropping sometime during season 4 so apparently something was broken.

I wonder if the ratings dropped in part due to the angry traumatized Leo. Some people may not have realized that this change was not likely to be permanent- and it was not.

They dropped because kids don't give a crap about drama, or back story.

Anyways chill guys, really. You are the worst group of fans I've ever seen. It seriously seems like the majority of the fan base is never ever happy with what they get. I was reading City At War comic the other day and in the letters page there's people bitching about it. I remember when 2K3 started people bitched about it to.

Watch when the new series comes along you'll suddenly fall in love with FF and give the new series crap. It's a pattern I've seen. This is why the series is always in a state of flux.

You know back awhile ago in the comic section someone said "Laird needs to stop listening to what the fans want and do what he wants to do" Back then I didn't understand how important it is, but now I do. He will never ever be able to please all of us, and the problem is he's trying to.

Again with the exception of a few members on here it seems like none of you are ever happy with what we get. You may not think it but this affects more then you may think.

Before you even reply to me Gobo your one of those people who doesn't complain and sticks with it

Yeah, blending the movie designs in would be awesome... only thing I really would like to see different from movie is the heads - eyes were too far apart on those for my taste. I like the slimmer TMNT a lot - makes more sense for what they are. That is, ninjas rather than body builders.

If it does come to a blend between 2k3 and 2007 styles, no complaints from me. I liked both.

the turtle shows have been interesting, especially season5,i hope this one could supress it though.
S5 has such a constant and compact plot it totally wins me back from those JP shounen manga.we all know that the well known JP cartoon features thoes babes, the kind that can really make you high.i shell exalt it a little here, leave me alone for a second.
well, back to the show,as y have been recently missing that exitement suddenly y cought S5,wow that feeling y got then...
i shell appretiate it a little here, give me a second again.
then back to the show, well,i think iv made my point.8w
whatever u say,i just advocate the whole NT,compare with every almost EVERY action anime of JP,TMNT is much better enough, what more couldu want?uh?uh?all right, the frames of JP cartoon are indeed more beautiful,it has been a anime empire afterall, but no matter how gorgeous are them,we probablely would not buy them should they merely bring us doze.another reason i have a thing with JP cartoon is that they are too commercial, cartoons are all commercial productions, but they are just tooo...just tooooo blunt,i hate that.i shell stop here for iv been OT...just a little.

Sorry...its the best art style they could have done. The only major difference would be the Turtles presumedly having pupils behind their masks for the first time in this series, which is fine by me.
I'd rather see them look similar to the movie than having green yeild signs for heads. In fact, I took a good look at the minifigures and Happy Meal toys... Without the pupils in their eyes, they look pretty similar. I can't see how it's a bad thing if they're getting away from the blocky FF designs.

Then why did we get FF? I thought most of us were content with the 2k3 series. (Not trying to pick a fight, I seriously want to know based off that logic.)

Sheesh, after reading about the new series, I was actually expecting people to be celebrating here. I mean, they're going back to the continuity of 2k3. The show will have less humor. And... oh my god, new vehicles. I mean, TMNT NEVER EVER had any vehicles before. We certainly didn't have a Truck with jet engines, rocket launchers, super computers, and motor cycles in TMNT 2k3.

I mean, the description sounds... normal! I mean, we're getting a normal TMNT series again. Out of all the ideas so far, this is about as close to 2k3 as you can get. Outside of the vehicles of course, because -- once again -- the turtles never had vehicles in 2k3 with flying missiles coming out of them.

As for the new lair, I think they are talking about the pump station in Central Park. Partly because I think that lair barely even got developed enough in the series. Even the Lost Season barely featured the new lair. Of course, I could be totally wrong, but I don't see how the pump station can't be considered something new.

Yeah, the new style of animation COULD be worrisome, but I'm not going to judge it until I actually SEE something to judge.

This is almost like FF again. You guys jump all over the place over nothing. I mean, ok, I can actually understand the hesitation of FF over the original description. I mean, the show's lighter and focuses more on comedy while changing the entire setting of the 2k3 show. This... this is nothing. This is more serious. The show continues the 2k3 and FF (a show that's actually getting better with the last few episodes), and some new vehicles.

If you want to see constantly-angry fans, check out a Sonic the Hedgehog forum sometime. Now that's angry!

But they DO have a right to be angry. The recent Sonic games suck. Yeah, Secret Rings was ok, but "ok" doesn't cut it for someone who once rivaled Mario. We're getting something that's pretty much what we've been praying for once FF is over.

I find their constant whining about which Sonic universe is the definitive one (Segasonic, Satam, Fleetway Comics, Archie) a little more harsh than their videogame devotion.

I think that was me, since I only ever complain in the comics section to counter why everyone hated Pete's previous peice of self-indulgence, April being a drawing.

If he IS listening to fans and trying to please them now, this might truley have been the reason he put Volume 4 on hiatus. It's no secret that was what the fans hated the most before FF, criticising Lawson's art, hating Laird for the pace, scolding him in the letters page, AND took stabs at his political ideas...stuff like that has an effect. Does it show? Hell yes, look at his REACTIONS.

It'll probably be CGI. I would say that I wouldn't watch a CGI series, but I probably wouldn't watch it either way.

Because FF was planned to begin with, the only change was they bumped up the humor in it. FF is canned because we complained about it, I bet you anything. And I base my logic on this on the fact that the toys sold really well and FF had higher ratings then the series had been getting before the shift.

Before the fans were willing to accept anything because 2K3 had gotten so good.

I know for a fact he reads this site, and I'm sure seeing the biggest group of his fan base belittling him and his creations depresses him. FF was one of his ideas, had we ran with it and been patient we would have been surprised and the show would have gotten better.

The reactions to the new episodes are way better then the first bunch because they are better. Now instead of continuing on something that was already good and getting better their jumping ship to a whole new series where they have to start from scratch again. I don't know about you guys but I'd rather have the FF animation style then them attempt to draw the movie characters in 2D animation. The comics look ugly I don't think the CGI look fits the turtles well in a 2D setting.

They can't afford CGI.

Actually, the toys did not sell well and the only reason FF got high ratings is because that's what was on when the movie came out.
