I just loved the part when Mikey hugged Raph... "Where's the love? It's right between my arms..." So nice for a post v-day episode

Mikey did seem very determined to protect Raph in this episode wonder if thats a little Casey envy as well

LOL It's kind of a dig at all American censored anime in general (as well as Sven and Voltron). Just like the guy's 'I'm OK' felt tacked on and Mikey pointed it out, a lot of earlier dubbed anime had characters be killed, but still be breathing or saying 'ow' to show 'they're not'. Ironically the GI Joe cartoon movie did this when they originally planned to kill Duke. Near the end when everyone was cheering, they tossed in a random line 'hey guys, I just heard Duke's ok, he's alive!' to change that.

I'm busy writing down my thoughts since I had a long day. I'm surprised Shredder wasn't in anyone's nightmares....

This episode wasn't quite what I expected. I really thought there would be a bit more plot development rather than the mutant of the week once again. I also expected there to be more of an explanation of the mushroom being mutated. It was great to see Leo have his chance to shine, but it still seemed like he destroyed the giant mushroom way too easily. I did enjoy Casey and April being with the turtles and hope it happens more often.

And someone on the show seems to really like bugs, roaches and horror. Those were some pretty detailed giant roaches, heheh.

What the **** did i just watch this is definitely my least favorite episode of the season if not the show. maybe the worst episode since the next mutation

This episode was weird man...the turtles, april, casey, and possibly the sewer worker (wonder what happened to him??) tripping on mutant mushrooms... alrighty then.

When the music to march of the sugarplum fairies started I was like "WTF?!"... Wonder if that means April is Clara and Don or Casey is the Nutcracker prince.

I mean the show already has the Rat King...

But hey! Captain Ryan cameo was awesome! *lol*

I much preferred last weeks ep to this there greatest fears where pretty lame except for Leos I guess. could have been much better. Really thought Dons would have been failing to keep his promises rather than having April hate him.

Anything without Venus is better then next mutation, this is probably one of the best episodes of season 2.

I just couldn't feel for this ep much, it really was essentially a filler, that mushroom dance number was funny even if it did felt a bit long. I'm looking forward to next ep since we get Metalhead doing something again.

I don't see it as a pure filler-episode, like some of you do. I think it gave something to Leos character, just like the Spiderbitez ep. gave somthing to Raphs.

I liked the humor in this episode. Especially during the anime sequence when the Captain went to slap the guy who was freaking out and he went flying. That was hilarious. Also the video game part cracked me up as well. But the "mushroom dance" really took me out of the episode and felt completely out of place. I did not like that part at all.

With all the filler episodes that have been in Season 2 so far, I REALLY hope that they are planning something HUGE as far as a badass battle between the turtles and Shredder. Shredder has been absent most of the season and I am starved for another good fight between them. Until that happens, there still hasn't been another episode of this series so far that has come close to matching the awesomenesss of 'The Gauntlet'.

I love Ciro and his team for putting that in.

Would be awesome if we can actually see his severed head wound and blood gushing out of the open veins. On top of that, swarms of cockroaches came crawling out. But... that is waay overboard I guess for a kids show even for a horror fan like me. Wishful thinking.

Yep, I thought of him, too, when I saw the name of the writer. I was expecting Leo to shout, "That's what I do!" after facing his fear.

And about Mikey's fear, you guys forget that he was nearly sucked down a drain along with a Squirrelanoid toward the end of the episode, so that had to freak him out that he almost got sucked down with one. i thought the fear was better than what I thought it would be.

Honestly I don't think this episode would have been as entertaining if it weren't for all the trippy CG effects and stylized backgrounds. This episode probably wouldn't have been as cool if it was traditional 2D animation.

The CG graphics really made this episode.

Great lesson:Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear...though only Leo was able to figure it out.

Loved the Mario and Fantasia refs...most excellent.

Leo's progression as a ninja was clearly made evident....He can glow!!!

fave line:
Mikey: Oh no! Leo? Dude?Speak to me bro. Do you need mouth to mouth?
Leo: Absolutely....not.

The cute, little dancing shroom topping at the end reminded me of a joke:

Man this episode was crazy, I loved it. It didn't push plot too much as I had hoped but I'll give it a pass for an awesome time. Sure the fears were pretty superficial, but it made sense for a kid's tv show, to really focus more on one character's serious fear. Leo was awesome in this and I really dig the meditation in the beginning. With all the psychic stuff April is getting into, I think it'd be cool to see more majestic ninja stuff going on too.
