What's wrong with his skin? To me, his sculpt seemed like one of the best they showed at Toy Fair. Despite the ankle bracelet (?) not being painted, I actually want him.

His skin is too bright and it's missing the light green paint under his mouth like the toy news I pictures.

If you're trying to show me a picture, that link doesn't work, unfortunately. My opinion was based on the Toy Fair photos from a few weeks back, which featured an already underpainted piece. If he's even worse off now, well, damn...

I was trying to show you a photo of his better painted prototype. I was talking about the toy fair one too. Here's the image I meant to show you. I know they can't paint all of that but at least get the skin color right.

Oh, right. I had forgotten all about that fully painted picture, damn. Well, I may get him & Stockman to paint, they're still really nice sculpts at least.

Playmates can be great. The sculpts are usually good and the paint work can be amazing, like in the prototype pics.

Happy day, sort of..
I got most of the stuff I was waiting for.
Looking forward to puting the van together. The lil cars are really cool and far better than I thought they'd be.
The bike is nice, but the Leo figure is woth the price of admission. He's great.

Still waiting for the Fred Wolf set, a 4 Turtles box set (more onthat after it arrived) and a few of the latest playmates figures.
This is where the cars ended up, on the window ledge of my office!!

Update.
Opened the Party Wagon. Very impressed. I somehow had the idea that this would be quite small in comparison to the original. How wrong I was... It's really nice. I think I will have the front painted with more detail, but im glad to finally have this Turtles van.

And I know there are similar aspects and bits from the movie van, but they are very different.
The wheel base on all three are the same.
I have to say that the new party wagon is my favorite Turtles van,

I'm having way to much fun with this van.
One last pic..

Went to a "good" TRU this morning and found BeBop and Rocksteady. It looked like they had just filled the entire section this morning, and I only found 1 of each, so these may be hard to find.

Stopped collecting the figures, but I had to have these 2. The paint apps are horrible, but like I said, I really wanted these to add to my previous collection.

Haha, wow, that's different. What kind of bug was it? Hopefully not a spider. I'd email Playmates if I were you. That's mad gross.

It wasn't a spider it was tiny and very dead. I think it was from China it was like a mini fly.

I'm starting to realize that I'm no longer excited to get the figures playmates makes anymore and I'm now wondering how bad will their product will be instead of how good they will be. The minimates are the only tmnt figures I'm excited to get now . At least I know wave 2 mini mates are going to be fantastic so at least that's good.

I think I'm still excited for the new releases. I find that I'm always looking forward to their arrival once I know they are in the post.
Lie the next wave of six are being despatched today, to arrive probably Tuesday.
After breakfast, I'm heading into my office to pick up the Fred Wolf ( as people have been calling them) set as they arrived last night.
I was sent photos of my figures, and I can confirm, no painted pants for Monkey Brains.
The Beavers look like they do in the show. Mikey still looks cool, as does Napoleon. Gengis Frog: might make a nice piggy (froggy) bank.
I will prepare a photo shoot and submit the pics mid week, with in hand reviews.

Gengis? He wasn't announced, so that's pretty cool.

I meant to edit that before posting. I couldn't recall if it was Gengis or Attilla. My brain was in old school mode, and I wrote Gengis. You are right, it's Attilla, the big blue lump of plastic, I mean frog.

I don't paint anything, but when that Muckman comes out I will consider doing so if certain parts (the bones, manhole cover etc) are unpainted. Because the sculpt is just incredible and he's a must-have for me based on sculpt alone!

its probably been said before but if they got rid of some of the lines Playmates produces they would have more money to make the lines they keep better..i would rather have less lines but better production then more and more crap coming from Playmates...they are spreading themselves too thin
